Entrance Theme:
'Take on Me' by Reel Big Fish
Entrance Description :
The opening of 'Take on Me' heralds the arrival of 'The Jew Blazer' Josh Goldstein who skanks out from behind the curtain in his gear after the countoff that starts the song. The Blazer slaps hands with several fans as he makes his way down to the ring, jumping up on the apron and doing a lucha roll over the top ropes and landing on one knee in a superhero pose. He jumps to his feet and removes his ring jacket before bouncing on his heels in preparation for his opponent.
Personality : An absurdly positive 80's-obsessed Jewish 'Superhero' who practices the rare wrestling style known as 'Jewcha Libre'. Josh is here to win one for the little guy and bring 'fun' back to pro wrestling.
Alignment: Face
Strengths:
Underdog: Opponents often underestimate the Jew Blazer due to his size and antics, but he has shown himself to be a capable wrestler and can capitalize on his perceived weakness
Damage Sponge/Rope-A-Dope: The Blazer has gotten pretty good at taking a beating. He will roll with punches and let his opponent tire themselves out so he can unleash...
The Eye of the Jew: If The Blazer takes enough of a beating, he can draw upon the cheers of the crowd in proper 80's fashion to 'Hulk Up' and get a second wind.
Bottomless Friendliness and Positivity- Josh is super likable. He brings baked goods to every show and always has enough to share with everybody and no matter WHO it is he'll always be there to listen if they're in a bad mood. If there is anything someone could hate about him, it's that he is literally incapable of seeing the glass as anything but half full.
Weaknesses:
Honorable: The Blazer NEVER cheats, NEVER uses weapons, and is quick to check on an opponent if he thinks they are severely hurt or injured. Josh's code of honor is easy to manipulate.
Superheroic: Maybe it's just an inopportunely-timed superheroic pose, maybe it's putting himself in harms way to protect someone who can't protect themselves, but The Blazer's devotion to being a Superhero can get him in trouble.
Mama's Boy/Rated PG: Joshua has never uttered a swear word in his life, is squeamish around blood, and attempts by the opposite sex to seduce him (though he is very dedicated to his girlfriend) tend to cause his brain to shut down a little.
Kosher- Superman has Kryptonite. Josh has pork and shellfish. Go figure.
Preferred Match Type(s):
2/3 Falls
Least Favourite Match Type(s):
Anything involving excess brutality
Wrestling Style:
Lucha Libre/80's Cheese (AKA Jewcha Libre)
Finishers:
Chutzpah Boot/Dreidel Drop- A running bicycle kick followed by a standing somersault leg drop. A modern take on the iconic 80's finish.
The 718- Tiger feint kick to the head of an opponent draped over the second rope followed by a springboard dragonrana for the roll-up.

Vertical Suplex
Hurricanrana

Biography: Joshua Goldstein always felt like he was born in the wrong era. He worshipped the superheroic wrestlers of the 1980's and despite his lack of muscle he always clung to the dream of bringing 80's wrestling back to the world. One day he walked out on his career as an accountant Leo Bloom style and was hired by the developmental wrestling territory Empire Wrestling and trained under former BWF and REBEL Pro World Champion Johnny Maverick where he met another student, 'The Prince of Pleasure' Ronnie North. Joshua earned the respect of Johnny for his impressive resilience and determination and was given his blessing to pursue his wrestling dreams as 'Radicalliance '85' with Ronnie. Josh was teased in his youth for being Jewish so he carries his heritage into battle with pride. He and Ronnie became the tag champions in IPW before it closed it's doors and had a couple successful defenses. Josh is pursuing a singles career for the first time to prove that he can be a Hero on his own, save for the assistance of his Pomeranian dog 'The Metaphor' (Phorry for short) who occasionally appears in his promos. Josh is currently living with his fiance, fellow NGW wrestler Kaylee Kassie.
After Ronnie North injured himself on the set of one of his films, Joshua decided to fly solo as The Jew Blazer, claiming 2017 is the year he wins his first singles title. he fulfilled this prophecy by winning the New Gen Title (later the Five Lakes Title) and defending it against the likes of Jack Tillman, giving Jack his first clean loss. Soon after The Blazer lost the title to Jack and became despondent, dropping the Jew Blazer name entirely and wrestling under his real name In this time Joshua attacked Jack backstage, swore, and interfered in a match to give someone else a win breaking his code of Honor. It was not until an intervention by the Guardians after Josh cheated to win a match against Jessica Nitoh that Josh decided to make a change. Josh has chosen to combine the hopefulness and humor of the Jew Blazer with the gritty determination and 'never say die' attitude of Josh Goldstein and now wrestles as 'The Jew Blazer' Josh Goldstein.
