Kenzi runs into the house, slamming the door behind her as she starts unbuttoning her top. "BABY?!!!"
Sarah is sitting on their couch, fully dressed in one of her gowns, their pitcher full of coffee before her with two cups. She smiles up at Kenzi. "Hello Beloved. Please sit."
Kenzi pauses, sensing that something is a bit off. Kenzi walks over, her expression changing to one of caution. She sits next to Sarah. "What's wrong?"
Sarah chooses her words carefully. "If my father had needed to spend time here before the end, how would you have felt?"
Kenzi blinked. "That's your father! How could I feel any different than happy that he was here...but...what are you getting at?"
Sarah wrung her hands in her lap. "What if...your mother...needed to stay? For a few days?"
Kenzi smirks. "Not the same thing Hun!" Sarah looks at her with seriousness, letting her silence speak for her. Kenzi's mouth falls open as she gets to her feet, glaring at Sarah, the implication being that her mother was sick or dying. "Sarah! She's fucking lying! You said you watched her show! You know how she is! She's lying her ass off!" Kenzi threw her hands in the air, pacing in a tight circle. "This is how she got me on her show!"
Sarah was the picture of seriousness. Having lost both her parents, her mother in lost in childbirth, she knew the importance of this. "And what if she is not?"
Kenzi stopped, looking at her. "I don't care!" Kenzi stormed off, running into the bedroom and slamming the door behind her.
"Grrrrr!" Sarah calmly gets up and walks to the door. She finds the door locked when she tries the handle. "She is a detestable woman," she says through the door, "but you are not. This is an opportunity to be a better person!"
Kenzi opens the door, standing there shaking her head. "Baby...she's playing us...and I don't know why or what she wants." Kenzi throws her arms around Sarah, sighing. "I can't even wish to be wrong, because that's terrible as well..."
She holds her close and breathes her in. "I have three points to my argument, should you wish to hear them."
Kenzi takes her hand and leads her to the bed. The two sit, hand in hand. "Please do..."
"First...your mother has been a terrible person. But the Path teaches that no one can be so far gone into the darkness that they cannot be brought back into the Light. If this is indeed the end? This is your opportunity to help her. Second, if it turns out that this is indeed a ruse or some game and she hurts you...then we get to Falcon Punch her in her stupid face that she may well revert back to beauty." She pauses. "And third...she is your mother, Mackenzie. I..." She trails off, eyes glistening. "I would give nearly anything for five seconds with mine."
"...fuck..." Kenzi hugs Sarah. "Fine, where are we putting her up? With security...with Frick & Frack?"
Sarah stiffens a bit at that. "Well...er...Kandi said that she was hoping we could put her up in either the throne room or my closet..."
"WHAT?!!! IN HERE WITH US?" She pauses. "...but...our room..."
Sarah shrugs as she acknowledges the...inconvenience. "Think of it as an opportunity to show her that our lifestyle is sound and that our love is real?"
"When is this happening?" Kenzi smirks, clearly unhappy with the situation.
Sarah closes her eyes and takes a big breath, preparing for the storm. "She is in the lobby with our handmaidens as we speak."
"GODDAMN IT!!!" She jumps up, peeling off her clothes. "Hurry up!! I LOVE YOU!!" Kenzi hurriedly starts taking off Sarah's clothes. "Quickie!!"
"Wha-?" is all she can get out before Kenzi starts ripping off her clothes. "...love you too..."
They were not known for their brevity when it came to lovemaking, but desperate times called for desperate measure. With Kenzi's mother in the house, their usual boldness would be greatly curtailed. Just a quick peck on the cheek followed their rapid pace session. Their usual tangle of sweat-soaked limbs foregone; she ran in the bathroom splashed water on her face and threw on a robe to go see her mother...and try not to murder her old lying ass.
She'd find out what her mother was up to...sooner or later...then she'd be gone!
Devious Sarah was indeed devious. After convincing everyone that they should "take Mother Grey out to celebrate this momentous occasion and reunion," coincidentally to TigerHeat, a notorious gay bar down the street from the apartment, Sarah has their team of Denizens, minus Frick and Frack, "prepare Mother Grey's room." The Blood Princess throne is relocated to Sarah's closet and the bed initially intended for Kenzi is brought out of storage and prepared for Sid. The room is then decorated with every picture Team Kickass have ever taken together, except for the "personal" ones, and includes framed copies of their devotional poems to one another and a blown-up version of the Relationship Contract hanging from the ceiling so that any occupant of the bed must stare at it...

The silence was heavy with awkwardness as Sarah and Sid sat across the breakfast table from one another. Sarah, wearing a tank top that proudly displayed a fresh row of hickies and the large tattoo on her shoulder, had her usual breakfast in front of her: Half a chicken breast, three scrambled eggs, a cup of oats, three slices of turkey bacon, an orange, and a banana. Sid had, due to her order somehow being "lost," had one and a half slices of burnt, dry toast. "Soooooo....Mother Grey...how long were you planning on staying in town?"
"Only as long as it takes to reconnect with my daughter..." Sid eyed Sarah, paying particular attention to her neck and the rows of hickies that Kenzi had no doubt purposefully left there. "...it seems that may take longer than I had anticipated." Sid ignored the toast and sipped at the black coffee she had made instead. She put down the cup and gave Sarah the once over. "You seem a bit...young, especially to be involved with someone like my daughter with her...attachment issues. How old are you dear...27...30?"
Sarah bites the inside of her lip to not lash out. "Wonderful to see that your sense of gaiety is as developed as your worry lines, Mother Grey. Would you like a tour of the town? There is a turkey farm not far from here that you might find quite at home at. A shame that modern science STILL cannot find a cure." She takes a sip of her own coffee and offers Sid a sweet smile. "Maybe I will start putting money into that."
Sid chuckles, enjoying Sarah's mean spirited banter. It had been far too long since she'd gotten to enjoy it. "You didn't answer my question, but I can see that you're young...younger than the other deviants that had designs on my Kenzi." She sipped her coffee. "Did she tell you about them? How she chased them all away? How she'll do the same to you?"
She looks down and picks at her food. "We have been open about prior lovers. We even met initially while we were both romantically occupied. We have resolved to always be honest with one another and never shy from the truth." She looks back up. "As for the other, she has already tried to push me away. With all her might. But I endeavored."
Sid chuckled, though she was unfamiliar with Song. "Others may push...but Kenzi is the one you should worry about. She doesn't push. No...Kenzi is a strangler...she suffocates the ones she loves. You can pretend not to notice…but I know you've seen it. It starts off small...just a bit of jealousy...then, she goes all Fatal Attraction." Sid finished her drink, Irish coffee no doubt. "You've lasted longer than most...but you're moving awfully fast...talk of marriage? TSK TSK! You still have oats to sew by the look of you...hell, even an heir or two to shit out I'd bet. What do you think my Kenzi will say to that?"
"I would respond in three points, if I may: First...yes, we moved quickly, but part of that was born of necessity, such, such as our living arrangements. The question of marriage is one which we are leaving open to possibility but certainly not certainty." She takes a drink. "Second...as far as an heir...it is indeed something I must consider. But with the advances in science now and in the future, I have twenty years to worry about that. You needn't worry overmuch of your title of Grandmother matching your face. And Thirdly..." She cannot help but smirk. "I delight in being strangled, whether from behind or when on bottom." She pauses, looking thoughtful. "Your daughter was hesitant at first, but I think she rather enjoys it now."
Sid stares at Sarah, her expression unrecognizable. She stands up and walks over to Sarah, then slowly opens her arms for a hug, her eyes welling with tears. "Well...if you love her that much. I won't have to worry now when I'm gone."
Sarah freezes but her insides are roiling fire. She licks suddenly dry lips, wipes her mouth with her napkin and stands, but she does not enter Sid's embrace. "Both of my parents," she says in a whisper, "died of cancer. My mother...seconds after I was born. She never even got the chance to HOLD ME!" She looks at the tears in Sid's eyes and the silent plea for the embrace. "I swear to you...if this is a ruse...if you are not sick..." She shakes her head, her own eyes tearing. "I will find out how hot the fire has to be to melt Botox. Are we clear?"
Sid grabs Sarah, holding her tight, kissing her cheek. "You smell like flowers...how lovely!" Sid holds Sarah back, looking her in her eyes. "To hold a daughter in her arms is a mother's greatest joy. I'm sorry that yours was deprived of that. But, I am glad that I got to do this before it was too late." She held Sarah again, squeezing her. Sarah clenches her eyes shut, afraid that the tears would flow, and returns the embrace. "I wished for a man...just so you know. But...you'll have to do..."
Sarah can't keep a giggle away. "Both of us did. Love is weird."
It had only been a week since Sid moved in with Sarah and Kenzi, but in typical fashion, she was turning their lives upside down. Sarah still believed that Sid was at death's door and that held even more weight with her as she viewed Sid as a potential mother figure. On the flip side, her constant drinking and needling was really starting to grate on Kenzi's nerves. Kenzi still refused to believe that her mother was sick and dying. If anything, she was doing her best to drive a wedge between them while getting in the way of any alone time the two planned at home. Fed up with the constant interruptions, Kenzi took Sarah for a night of dancing on the town...

Sarah and Kenzi left the club and settled into the car for the long ride home. Kenzi put up the privacy glass as she turned her attention on squeezing in a bit of alone time before they got back to Lacklanland West. As Kenzi kissed Sarah, she could tell that something was wrong. She stopped, looking her lover in her red hued eyes. "Okay...what is it Sarah?"
Sarah, who was usually the aggressor in any sexual situation looked at Kenzi with concern. "Beloved, have you spoken with Mother Grey about her condition? Have you tried to mend fences with her?"
Kenzi rolled her eyes, sitting back to glare at her. "Seriously Sar! You know that she isn't sick! She's a goddamn mooch! That is what she is! I can't do anything at all in the house with her constantly under foot! She's the world's oldest wet fucking blanket!" Kenzi shakes her head, "How are you all of a sudden a member of Team Sid? Are you REALLY buying that horseshit of hers?"
Sarah runs her fingers through her platinum locks, already knowing that what she said next was not going to please Kenzi. "She...MAY...have hugged me...and basically called me...her daughter..."
Kenzi's mouth falls open as she stares at Sarah. "Sar...Sid, my mother, is a fucking lying piece of shit! You can't trust her!"
"And I think this is different." She looks in Kenzi's eyes intently. "I think we have to give some trust here."
Kenzi rolls her eyes, throwing up her hands. "I didn't figure you for a sucker! But, fine Sarah...fine! Let's enjoy the ride home and talk about this later."
Sarah turns away from Kenzi with a petulant look on her face. "I'm not a sucker! I'm-" she paused, "...desperate for a mother..." is what she wants to say, but she also knows that is not all of it, either. "It's complicated."
Kenzi slides her hand into Sarah's, bringing it up and kissing it. "Fine Baby! It's complicated...but we are a team. So...we can be suckers together. I love you...now...that dress isn't going to remove itself!"
The respite is a small oasis in a hauntingly dry desert. The two of them make the best of it, but Kenzi is already growing more and more weary of her mother's antics. Things between them were soon going to come to a head if she didn't leave soon.
Team Kickass, as Sarah had taken to calling herself and Kenzi hit the road as Sarah's adventures carried her overseas to take on challengers from all federations and countries. Kenzi thought that this would be a welcome break from Sid, but Sarah surprised her by bringing Sid along with them. The one saving grace was that Sarah had hired a young strapping Lacklanlander by the name of Jacob to attend to her...and keep her largely distracted during their journey. With the laidback atmosphere putting her at ease, there was no time like the present to confront her mother, and finally put things into proper perspective...
K TOWER BOUTIQUE HOTEL BY LUCERNA
Tijuana, Mexico
June 21, 2017
Kenzi woke up early, per her usual schedule and despite being in a strange bed in a strange country. She was wrapped in a tangle of alabaster and ebony, dark braids and platinum spilling everywhere. Kenzi could hardly wait to taste every inch of her Queen...the hard and the soft. Even in the darkness, silky thighs knew when to part and hips knew how to respond. She was gentle as she finished off her Baby in short order, bringing her to a muffled conclusion then laid with her until she fell back into an even deeper sleep. She kissed her, and slipped off to take care of her morning necessaries. It was time to have a talk with her mother...this ruse of hers needed to be put to an end.
Kenzi sat at the dining room nook of their adjoining suites with two fresh brewed cups of coffee in front of her...one with extra cream and sugar and one black with a generous splash of whiskey. Like clockwork, Sid emerged from her room looking spectacular...for the hot mess that she was. She made her way to the table and plopped down, breathing in the aroma of her perfectly prepared 'breakfast.' "Good morning Kenzi...thank you for the morning pick me up. Of course, something to eat would have been nice."
Kenzi smirks, biting her tongue as she resisted the urge to tell her that she'd already eaten. Instead, she got right to the point. "Why are you playing games with Sarah? Making her like you? What in the fuck are you up to?"
Sid sipped her coffee and savored the mix of flavors before she answered. "Why do you have to think the worst of me dear? Can I not like your newest lesbian conquest?"
Kenzi gritted her teeth. "I love her... she's not a conquest!"
Sid shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not...Hey, I like the mean little shit, but let's be honest, you aren't known for maintaining lasting relationships. I pray that this one is different."
Kenzi had never known her mother to be okay with any lesbian relationship, so this set off a flurry of warning bells. "Tell me what you're up to mother! I know you're not dying!"
Sid sipped at her coffee. "We are all dying...some are just going sooner than others." She winked at Kenzi, leaving her with more questions than answers.
Kenzi started to speak up, but a chime from her phone alerted her to a couple of new tweets from Sarah to one of her friends, Kitty Galore...
"DATE?!" She blurted out as the words stuck out to her like a sore thumb.
Sid craned her long turkey neck over to try to see her phone screen. "Date? Who has a date?"
Kenzi yanked her phone away, furling her brow into a severe frown as she continued to stare at the series of tweets. Of course they were innocent...no one in a serious relationship would actually go on to Twitter and make a date publically, right? Kenzi full well knew that the answer had to be no...but it still ate at her that Sarah would dare to invite one of her friends on a 'date' and not include or even ask her if it was okay first? Who was this Kitty Galore person anyway? She hadn't introduced them or anything.
"Is Sarah going on a date without you dear?" Sid asked, still nursing her drink as she tried to see Kenzi's phone.
"MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!" Kenzi snapped.
Just then, Sarah walked into the kitchen, phone still in hand. "Whoa! What is going on here? Beloved, is there a prob..."
Kenzi brushed past her, not even looking in her direction as disgust colored her cheeks. "NO! NOTHING!"
Sarah started to follow after her, but the shit-eating grin on Sid's face caught her attention. She walked over and sat next to Sid. "Mother Grey...what happened?"
Sid sighed, "I told you...she is a flighty girl. She's always been that way..."
Sarah wanted to follow after Kenzi, but this conversation peeked her interest greatly. Sarah eyed Sid, a question lingering on the tip of her tongue, she worked up the nerve and asked her. "Mother Grey...what was Mackenzie like as a child?"
Sid pauses, as she considers telling a lie, but decides against it. "Honestly...I couldn't really tell you. I wasn't there much...if at all. I was focused on my career...like you, fighting the World...fucking it...drinking it under the table." She looked remorseful for a moment, but it passed quickly. "I let the life I thought I wanted take away the one I should have lived. Maybe she would have turned out less like me if I had...who knows."
Sarah considered this, then added, "Father took me everywhere with him on his adventures across the world, but I know part of that was because of Mother's death and not having any grandparents. What of Mackenzie's father?"
Sid rolled her eyes. That had always been a sore subject for her. She'd opted for telling Kenzi she was a child of rape, rather than fill her head with her father's nonsense. Despite it all, Ken was every bit her father's child. "Her father...is an asshole and an idiot. She's never met him and I'd rather she never did."
Sarah chews on that and files it away. "Is he the reason you have somewhat negative views on those with darker skin?"
"I have NO idea where you are getting that idea! I'm African! Now that I'm an American, I'm an African-African American." Sid chuckled. "Am I a racist? Probably...but no more than anyone else. I hate everyone equally."
Another thing filed away for later. "And your issues with same-sex relationships?"
Sid smirked, she nearly asked Sarah about her 'date' but she bided her time. "Relationship? Is it really? It might be fun to try a few times, but there is no substitute for the strength and masculinity of a man."
Even in this, Sarah could not completely disagree with Sid. "I readily admit that there are things I miss about being with a man, the same things Mackenzie herself misses, I am sure, but there is an emotional connection with her I have not only lacked completely with others but that I yearn for. Is that aspect of the relationship so easily discounted or dismissed because we are of the same sex?"
Sid sat forward, holding the red eyed girl with her own drunken red eyed gaze. "As a woman, you yearn for a strong protector and provider to dominate you. You can't tell me that my daughter provides that for you! You strike me as the type who likes to be taken...you're such an alpha in the ring."
Sarah stares at her, her eyes moving quickly, her mind filing away more information. This is not about trying to sway this potential mother-in-law, just information gathering, but she still cannot help herself. "You have no idea what your daughter is capable of, do you? A lifetime of ignoring her...and you have no idea of who she has become...and who she has the potential to be."
Sid sighs, reaching over to pat Sarah's arm. "Ken is an amazing performer, but she's no fighter. Not like you...certainly not like me!" Sid smirks. "I know my daughter is amazing, as the fruit of my loins, but I'm glad she's leaving LAW, and I hope she will quit wrestling all together!"
Sarah grinds her teeth. "Over my dead body." She takes a moment to take a calming breath. "For your information, Mackenzie is NOT quitting LAW, in fact, she is competing in the Queen of the Ring Tournament in just over a week. I have no doubt that she will win her match and make you proud, Mother Grey!"
Sid smirked, she was not at all pleased with the idea of her daughter attempting to continue wrestling...or being in a relationship with another woman. "She's a goddamned laughing stock there! YOU should understand that she is not cut from the same cloth as us! YOU should know better than to encourage her to look like a fool! If you love her...you'll convince her to quit!"
Sarah pointed a perfectly manicured finger at her as she fired right back, "Mackenzie is so much more than you can ever know Mother Grey! She may not get the respect of the ignorant ones who can see no further than their own front yard, but she has my respect and that of those who know that I am fighting the world across the world, with her by my side!"
Sid shook her head, clearly unhappy with the idea of her daughter continuing to fight when she no longer had to. "Fine!" She took her drink and headed back towards her suite, "You don't have to listen to a word that I say Sarah, but I really did try my best to help you..."
As Sid walked out, Sarah was left to wonder what going on and why Kenzi was so upset...
The rest of the trip was marred by a strangeness in the air between Sarah and Kenzi. Sarah had done her best to explain that the 'date' was really just a chance for old friends to get together and catch up. Sarah made a point to tell Kenzi that she would have asked her to go with them, but shortly after she'd made the 'date' Kenzi had stormed into the room and made arrangements to spend the day with her former roommate's cat, Kitty Purry. While Kenzi found that to be a bit of a stretch, she did her best to least try to be understanding and trusting of her girlfriend while they were apart from each other.
Of course, this was the thing that Kenzi dreaded the most. The two of them had almost literally been together every single day since becoming a couple. Now was going to be the first test of Kenzi's separation anxiety...and dispite having her mother right there, she was nearly going crazy as she stared at her phone from the moment Sarah walked the door. To take her mind off things, she took Ms. Kitty Purry out for a day at the spa...along with her mother, because...what could go wrong?
CAT-MAN-DUE
Hollywood, California
June 26, 2017
Kenzi and Kitty Purry got pampered and she tweeted out the good time that they were having...
Though it was not meant as such, every tweet from Sarah about her time with Kitty Galore was like another needle in her eye. She knew that it was not meant as such, but what did Sarah expect? They had been together as a couple for months, with only the company of one another to keep them. Now she had the company of another to fill whatever void had been left by her.
She swallowed down her pride and set her love aside, but the jealously remained. Sid, who had tagged along for the day, couldn't help but to smirk at her daughter as she watched her phone like a hawk. She smiled every time Kenzi swore under her breath after seeing a picture from Sarah and Kitty's adventure together.
Sid glanced over her shoulder at the tasty lunch that Sarah and Kitty would be sharing. "Oh! That looks yummy! They certainly seem to be having a great time!"
Kenzi tucked her phone away. "What fucking business of yours is it?" She sighed, doing her best to hold herself together in the absence of Sarah, the drug she had become dependent on. "She's having lunch with a friend. That's all."
Sid smirked. "She called it a date I believe..."
Kenzi gave an eye roll to rival that of her red eyed lover. "It was a slip of the tongue..."
Sid laughed. "Slip of the tongue? Slipping in and out of that purple haired Kitty girl I'm sure."
Kenzi whirled on her mother, her eyes blazing with fury. She didn't need her fucking mother painting a picture in her mind any clearer than the ones haunting her imagination. "Sarah loves me...she just loves me!"
Sid pursed her lips, blowing out her breath in a harsh sigh. "You know who else 'just loved you!' That little Yin bitch...and that JMC person. They both loved you...and they loved a lot of other people at the same time." She shrugged. "It's a lesbian thing...they can't help themselves."
"DON'T YOU DARE! SHE'S NOTHING LIKE THEM!!" She looked around, embarrassed at all the eyes on them. "...just shit up..." She borrowed Sarah's catch phrase in the hopes that it made her feel better...it didn't.
Sid arched her brow. "I'm your mother...and I don't want you hurt. You love her...I understand that. You've always loved others far better than they've loved you." She could only shrug. "...you loved me better than I ever loved you. I'm sorry for that...but it's the truth and you deserve that much. I have no doubt that Sarah loves you...just not as much as you love her, or she loves herself."
"You don't know shit about Sarah and I or how we came together!" Kenzi smiled to herself, pleased with the idea of sharing a story of real love with her. "Sarah gave up everything for me...just to be with me!"
Sid folded her arms. "She's like me...you said it yourself. She's a fighter."
Ken frowned, unsure of what that meant. "So what?! What does that matter?!"
Sid put her hands on her shoulders, holding her daughters gaze. "She's been fighting the world...she hasn't stopped...she won't stop until there is nothing more to fight for..." She watched as the wheels turned inside her daughters head. Connections being formed...slowly. "...she will fight until she gets what she wants...and then, when there is nothing more to fight for...she'll find something new to fight for."
Kenzi wanted to punch her in the face and make her eat those words...but the words crept into the dark corners of her mind and fed on the jealousy there...the doubt that always took hold when her Sarah was away from her. Sarah had fought hard for Kenzi, very hard. She hadn't made it easy for her...it was a fight...the thing Sarah relished. Kenzi's intimacy block had been another fight. It had been the thing that had pursued until those wall came crumbling down. Kenzi shook her head, not wanting to fall into her mother's way of thinking...but...
Sid held her close. "I know she loves you...but she loves a fight. She has you, and there is nothing more to fight for. It's her way...you know I'm right."
The attendant came out with a freshly cleaned Kitty Purry and handed her to Kenzi. She put on a smile, ignored the pain, and paid the tab...but her mind was on her mother's words...that evil bitch...but there was no denying that she was right. Sarah may not have been cheating...but she did love a good fight...a fight that Kenzi no longer offered. How much longer before her complacency turned to something else?
LATER THAT NIGHT...
Kenzi waited for Sarah until she finally gave up on hoping she’d show back up at a decent time. She could have called her…demanded that she come home, but she had no right to do that…or at least no desire. She knew that her jealousy was out of control, but she didn’t want it to show any more than it had when they spoke earlier in the day. Sarah knew she was upset, and yet…she still didn’t come home on time.
She stood at her mother’s door, considering talking to her, but she came to her senses as she retired to their bedroom. She tossed and turned, then picked up her phone to see if she had texted…but she found nothing. She started to put her phone down when she noticed that her friend Katie Anderson was online.
Katie shared a very special and unique perspective on the relationship between Kenzi and Sarah. Before the two had become exclusive, Kenzi had drug her into threesome with them. It was the first and last time that the two of them ventured outside of their established relationship. Kenzi had remained close to Katie, mostly because she understood the intimate details of Kenzi’s relationship better than anyone else in the world.
Kenzi’s fingers flew over the screen as she texted her friend…
THE FOLLOWING MORNING...
Sarah was sad to see that she got home too late to go to sleep with Kenzi, but had a conversation with Mother Grey where she learned that Kenzi "didn't seem to even notice that Sarah was gone." A concerned Sarah leaves the picture she drew for Kenzi under her pillow...
When Kenzi awoke, she slipped out of bed and found the drawing of her tucked away. She took the picture from under her pillow and crept into the bathroom with her new treasure. Looking at the picture made her feel like a first class idiot. She had let Sarah's 'date' bug her to no end, though she did her best to put on a brave face. It was obvious that Sarah had been thinking about her...even though her mother's words still rung in her ears. "...fuck..." Kenzi muttered under her breath then slipped back into the bedroom and put the painting in a place of honor among their many trinkets and findings.
After admiring it one last time, she went back to the bed, to wake up her lover...and properly thank her for the gift. This was a morning that no one in Lacklanland West would forget for a very long time...because Kenzi had much to make up for...
The following morning, Sarah is all smiles after being awoken in the most beautiful way imaginable. She wasn't completely sure of what she had done to earn such attention, but she endeavored to get more of it, whenever she could. She perked up as she remarked, "Oh! We are going to Canada on Friday. And I just booked us in Australia in early August."
Ken typed away on her phone. "What's our schedule looking like for next week? Tuesday in particular."
"Very busy, but no matches. We are supposed to be on that crazy cruise, though, and getting airlifted off for stuff? Anyway, I promised Trixie we would be at the EWC pay-per-view to support her title defense on Monday, but then we are clear Tuesday through Thursday. And then..." She counts on her fingers. "Five matches from Friday to Sunday. In impossible places. Why?"
Kenzi itches her nose. "Shoot! I was trying to hook up with Katie for girl talk. No biggy!"
Sarah's foot taps uncontrollably under the table for a moment when she hears the phrase "hook up with Katie." "Oh? Well, you will see her this Friday in Canada. She is booked on the card." Sarah elaborated, "Empire is a Canadian company who has expressed interest in us as a team. I arranged for us to have a merch booth at their supershow this Friday. So that we can get a feel for one another. Katie is fighting Mrs. Hammerstein."
Ken’s eyes grew wide at the thought. "Ahhh! You think you might want to jump in...maybe?"
Sarah looks down at her hands for a moment. "They did not approach me. They approached us." She looks back up with a smile on her face. "People are noticing how well you have improved this year, Beloved. LAW does not realize it, but you are becoming a commodity. They want both of us." She shrugs. "But my experience in FSociety and FAW left a bad taste in my mouth, and I want to make sure all three of us, you, I, and Empire, feel like we fit before we say anything further. That make sense?"
Kenzi nodded, going to Sarah and sitting on her lap, resting her head on her shoulder. "You're 100% right. But let's not get crazy...you're the fighter...I'm just the hot piece of ass on your arm."
While the pair cozy up at the table, Sid walks in, cigarette hanging from her mouth and a drink in her hand. She pauses, looking at the pair. "Are you two going to be up screaming at 3 am every fucking morning?" She blows out a puff of smoke. "What were you two love birds fighting about anyway?"
Sarah's cheeks color again. She had GOT to get that under control. Sid was NOT her mother. "We were not fighting, Ma'am, though I appreciate the concern."
“But I heard you two screa..." She paused, the color draining from her cheeks. She rolled her eyes. "...Christ!" She grabbed a muffin from Kenzi's plate and quickly left, muttering under her breath. "...who's up have sex that loud at 4am on a weekday...?"
Kenzi smiled at yet another calculated move on her part. A few days ago Sarah had asked her to scream out during their love making, but she'd reasoned her out of it. This morning, she made sure that they pissed off the entire floor.
With Sid out of the room, Sarah takes advantage of her situation, feeling up Kenzi's backside and nuzzling her chest. "This morning was crazy..."
Kenzi paused, afraid of a miscalculation. "...you didn't like what I did...?"
Sarah grabs a double fistful of Kenzi's ass. "It was amazing! Fucking...amazing..."
"Because you love me..." The chase was over...the fight was done, but maybe she could keep Sarah's interest high some other way. Kenzi lays her head on Sarah's shoulder, intentionally not looking at her. "What will you be doing this time next year?"
Sarah giggles. "You. Over and over and over until you are my mindless bimbo sex slave."
Kenzi didn't laugh, she asked another question. "...in five years?"
Sarah's humor diminishes. "Being worshipped as the greatest wrestler in this history of forever."
Kenzi nodded. "...that's...nice..." She sat up. "...you ready to get going?"
Sarah blinks. "Ask me about ten years."
Kenzi held Sarah's face. Looking earnestly into her eyes. "You'll be in the Hall of Fame...your name atop the greats and your father will be proud." She kissed Sarah and started to get up.
Sarah holds her in place. "Ask me."
"Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" She didn't look at her.
Sarah lifted her chin, forcing her to look into her dazzling red eyes. "Retired. Growing the family business. And spending my mornings finding new, creative, and ever more effective ways to annoy, bother, and frustrate my beautiful wife. That is the 10-year plan I am working on."
Kenzi hugged Sarah, her eyes squeezed tight as she whispered in her ear, "...I love you…"
It was not lost on her that Sarah’s first answer was the fight…always the fight. It was like her mother said, she was a fighter and that was what she knew. However…at least she had her lover’s notice. Kenzi hadn’t been a fighter…not ever. However, if she wanted to keep what she had…if she wanted to get what she wanted, she would need to become one. That is what Sarah and her mother respected…and maybe that is what LAW wanted from her…to be a fighter…to be something greater than what she had been known for.
Perhaps this was now her chance…her chance to fight the world just like Sarah…

Sarah Lacklan: Sooooooo......
Kenzi Grey: Babe...?
Sarah Lacklan: You might want to bring chocolate and alcohol when you get home from the studio for dinner...
Kenzi Grey: Special night, huh? Plan on getting your brains fucked out!
Sarah Lacklan: Something like that. Let me know when you head home, okay?
Kenzi Grey: I'll leave right now for sexy time with you!!!

EXCHANGE LA

CAT-MAN-DUE

Kenzi and Kitty Purry got pampered and she tweeted out the good time that they were having...
Kenzi Grey: What's happening gurl?
Katie Anderson: I'm going to Baltimore to see Brooke... :-)
I mean we've hung out before but I really like her...I don't wanna fuck it up.
I mean we've hung out before but I really like her...I don't wanna fuck it up.
Kenzi Grey: I know how that goes. Just take it easy and be yourself. It will be fine.
At least you're not a jealous ass like I am. I'm driving myself crazy with Sarah.
At least you're not a jealous ass like I am. I'm driving myself crazy with Sarah.
Katie Anderson: What's going on sweetie? You can talk to me.
Kenzi Grey: Sarah is a HUGE flirt, and I know she loves me...but I can't stop being a jealous cunt! I just need to stop!
Katie Anderson: LOL You remember how I was with Mel when she and I first started dating?
If you know Sarah loves you then there's nothing to worry about :-) I can see it in her eyes when she looks at you, she truly loves you.
If you know Sarah loves you then there's nothing to worry about :-) I can see it in her eyes when she looks at you, she truly loves you.
Kenzi Grey: I KNOOOOOW! But...I...I have a disorder 😒
Katie Anderson: What disorder?
Kenzi Grey: I struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder. It manifests in weird ways...for me, in my relationships. I always feel like people are deserting me...and I act out.
Sarah hasn't left my side in months, until today.
I nearly lost my shit!
Sarah hasn't left my side in months, until today.
I nearly lost my shit!
Katie Anderson: Is she with you now?
Kenzi Grey: No…but she’s coming home soon. I hope…
Fuck…I’m just going to follow her like a fucking puppy when she does!
Fuck…I’m just going to follow her like a fucking puppy when she does!
Katie Anderson: I've been there sweetie...maybe you should just give her a lil bit of room...I'm not saying this will happen with you but I held on to Mel until she slipped through my fingers...
Kenzi Grey: It has happened to me every time...I smother them. You're right...I should give her some space when I can. Not seems so needy…
Katie Anderson: That might be best, just let her breathe, you can always come see me if you want to spend some time away and we'll just talk it doesn't even have to be relationship talk LOL
Kenzi Grey: Thank you Katie. 😍
Katie Anderson: Anytime girl! Ya know I love my sister from another mister :-)
Kenzi Grey: I love you too! Lets try to get together this week of next, okay?
Katie Anderson: Okay :-)
