It’s about time, I got my shot.
Kelly Garrett is sitting inside her car outside her Gym in Winslow Arizona.
Should have given me a title shot after Noah Reigner quit, what an asshole, quits while still holding the belt.
Kelly turns the key and the engine fires up.
I’ll talk to you later.
Kelly drives off and later arrives at the gym of a local high school, Kelly walked in where gym equipment is laid out. The Gym teacher greets her.
Kelly so glad you could make it today, I know you have a busy schedule.
It’s no problem, now let’s get started.
Kelly runs the students through one of her workouts not taking it easy on them for a minute, after what seemed like hours rather than minutes, the workout ended.
You all did okay considering it was your first time doing my program, I’ll see you all next week.
Kelly did the usual signing autographs and posing for picture thing then left. Kelly was walking to her car as her phone rang.
I just leaving, keep you pants on I’ll be home soon.
Kelly speed off and arrived home to a waiting who who still had his pants on.
You know I didn’t really mean the whole keeping your pants on things.
Kelly kisses Lewis.
How was your day.
Had to serve an eviction notice on single mother, I get she works two jobs, so she shouldn't have had trouble making her mortgage payments.
I Love you Lewis, take me.
Lewis picked Kelly up and they disappear into the bedroom. Later Kelly is back inside her Gym she works out as Lewis holds the camera, after her workout she sits on a bench.
I have had to deal with a lot of shit in my life, first with the stigma of being short in a family of taller people, I learned to deal with that. When I was bullied for my height, I became bigger and stronger than those bulling me, when I was told I couldn’t win the State Of Arizona female power lifting title, I did that, in fact I’ve done that seven times, I’ve won numerous competitions all over the world, all I’ve done has proved people wrong. Size doesn’t matter when you have heart and determination. People still forget that, people like Stella and everyone who run UKWF, and I know that the only reason I’m getting a title shot is to stop me from protesting the fact that I’ve been overlooked, most elimination in the New Year's Evolution Broadcast Battle Royal meant nothing to them, to sit me on the bench relegated to corner woman for Jessie and Jamie. But opportunity have come my way, at Fallout vs James Edwards, the two time broadcast champion, and it's an opportunity that I will take full advantage of, James you're bigger than me, and you're probably stronger than me, but you're not better than me, at fallout you're reigns ends and mine begins.

Somewhere in Medway Park Sports Hall Katherine Kensington waits for her next interview, she seems to the waiting for a while, as the crew begins to pack up the equipment. Around the corner comes the person she is scheduled to interview, Kelly Garrett, with her boyfriend Lewis, she wave nods the Katherine, then gives Lewis a hug and walks over, the crew rushes to set up for the interview. After a few moments Katherine is ready to roll.
Katherine: Hello everyone, Katherine Kensington here, and please welcome my guest at this time, the woman who will challenge James Edwards for the Broadcast Title, Kelly Garrett, welcome Kelly.
Kelly: Okay, whatever.
Katherine: Back at New Year's Evolution, pretty dominant in the Broadcast battle royal, people thought that you were going to win.
Kelly: No one remembers what I did in the battle royal Katherine, they only remember who won.
Katherine: You have been pretty vocal about being left out of the title picture.
Kelly: What, everyone thought I would just keep my mouth shut, like you said I was dominant in the battle royal, I eliminated more people than anyone, but did that put me next in line for a title shot, no instead, they decided to keep out of the show, deny me my chance.
Katherine: It must have bothered you when Noah Reigner quit UKWF, vacating the Broadcast Title.
Kelly: To be honest Katherine, it pissed me off, this company put the title on a guy, who didn’t care enough about the company to stick around and defend the title.
Katherine: I think he may have defended the title once.
Kelly: Who the fuck cares, the guy is nothing but a fucking loser.
Katherine: You and your fellow Diva Of Dominance sister Jessie and Jamie have been vocal about being overlooked.
Kelly: Overlooked, of course we have been overlooked, Jessie and Jamie, just like me work our assess of, Jessie and Jamie, they deserve a tag team title shot, but instead have been put in situation after situation where the odds aren’t in their favor, I laughed my ass off when the Aus-Am connection choked against The Master sister’s.
Katherine: Later tonight, what can the fans expect in your match against James Edwards.
Kelly: I bet they all expect me to lose, they’ll boo my ass out of the building, but the fans are just as big a bunch of hypocrites, as the people who run UKWF, only difference the fans, when I win the title, they’ll want their autograph, won’t they, they’ll want the picture with me, won’t they, They’ll want a picture with that bright new shiny belt I’ll be wearing after the Broadcast title match, they say Hell Hath No Fury like Woman Scorned, James Edwards will find out that even the devil himself, wouldn’t want to fuck with me.
Kelly stand up and removes her mic.
Kelly: Now If you'll excuse me, I have a title to win.
Kelly then walks off.

The first he held her he took her for granted. She was the lowest of his gold and leather consorts. Too new and not prestigious enough to put his soul into fighting for. Then he lost her. Then he lost his chance to regain her.
Absence made the heart grow fonder. He focused. He trained his ass off. Somehow, he got another chance to get her back.
And he did.
In the moment backstage where he cradled her in his arms, he promised he would never take her for granted again.

"I ain't ever put muck stock into redemption or the idea that lighting strikes twice. I'll leave the stories about magic and wishes to Lowri Moss. I'm more of a put the work in and get results kind of guy, and I'll be damned if I did just that two weeks ago at Anniversary of Aggression.
I told Ghensi and Moss both that talk was cheap. I was right, and now I've got myself another reign as Broadcast Champion. Like I was talkin' about a minute ago, this reign isn't about redemption, it's about bustin' my ass.
I get weeks in between title defenses, not months like the rest of em'. More than anybody else on the roster I gotta stay on my toes and stay ready for the fight to come, and what is coming my way this time around? Kelly Garrett, a woman, known for throwin' a couple of folks over the top rope.
Hell, I ain't gonna be a dick, that's something to be proud of as a personal best. It just ain't cause for shoutin' to the wind that you deserve more than you've earned. Fightin' is a sport of wins and losses. My win in the battle royal and over Moss a few week earned me both of my title shots. My second loss to Noah Reigner put me at the bottom of the rankings. That's how this business is supposed to work, and usually, it does.
Except for this title defense, Garrett moaned her way into it. I ain't gonna waste my time callin' bullshit on that, it won't change anything, but I'll give her this warning: people with points to prove to tend to come up short against me. Maybe it's luck or some such shit like that, but I like to think that it is because I come ready to grind and not open eyes. Focus and fundamentals are the only things I care once the bell ring. That's what takes to win the workin' fighters championship. If Garrett ain't to get her hand dirty, she ain't gonna like the outcome come next Tuesday.

He remembers his Little League coach's frequent trips to the mound after he gave up another double. The potbellied old man's smile always generated warmth, even when he knew the skipper was about to give him the hook. More often than not, he received the same advice: to keep his eye on the catcher's mitt, not the batter. Every time he did that, the old man drawled, he lost his focus and gave up another hit to those little bastards on the bank team. He always repeated it with every pitch until he retired the side and left the game on a positive note. _______________________
"This is the biggest fight of Kelly Garrett's life, and what the hell are her eyes focused on? Her nerves? Her preparation? Or on the champion himself?
She ain't lookin' at any of those things. All she gives a damn about is stickin' it to management because they haven't coddled her. She spent more time talkin' about what a piece of shit Reigner was instead of anything about our match. I may agree with her about that, but if there is one thing Noah Reigner did better than her, it was that he kept his eyes on me. He had a damn good reason for doing it too.
Size, strength, and skill have never been game. I've only been count at knockin' the hell out of people. Elbows, knees or kicks. They all can do the trick. Sometimes it takes a couple of em' to put somebody down. Every now and then, though, the person standin' across from me lets their guard down. I strike one of my three old reliables and then it's lights out, an early shower for them. Most of the time it's an accident, or they were too gassed to defend themselves.
There are exceptions. I've faced a few cocky fucks before that dared me to em'. Thought I couldn't put on the floor with one shot. The joke was on them at the end of the day.
I wonder if Kelly is makin' that same dare. Is she trying to toy with me to get in my head or does she honestly believe that misplaced angst is gonna carry her to the biggest win of her career? Hell if I know, man. I don't see a difference between the two.
Grudges are a hell of a motivator, but they don't win championships. The second Garrett looks over her shoulder for the boogeyman she thinks is chasin' her around I'm gonna be ready. Then bang, she goes, and the only thing on her mind will be why did she take her eyes off me."
