On the evening of Tuesday, January 17, thousands of eager fans across the UK log on to the UKWF website, eager to witness the return of the fastest-rising wrestling promotion in the British Isles. The production team do not let them down, and soon the familiar riffage of The Rezillos' 'Somebody's Gonna Get Their Heads Kicked In Tonight' starts up, indicating the beginning of the company's first broadcast for 2017!
This is followed, moments afterwards, by a revamped intro, still showing wrestlers doing moves against a background of Union Jacks, but updated to reflect the current roster. This leads, as ever, to a graphic depicting the title of the show:
UKWF NEW YEAR'S EVOLUTION
From there, the feed cuts to the inside of a jam-packed Surrey Sports Park, in what is usually the basketball court. Fans completely fill up the one set of bleachers, and spill out onto the floor, creating a standing area all around ringside. It is around this area that the camera does its usual pan, capturing a few interesting fan-made signs:
INSANE IN THE ARCANE HEY! I WANT SOME CONNIE! VIKING DEATH MARCH (with a photo of Valkyrie) ROODY CAN'T FAIL
Once this is done, the feed cuts, as ever, to the announce table, where the usual duo of announcers struggles to make themselves heard over the din of excitable fans.
Barry Jones: Evenin' folks, an' welcome to the Surrey Sports Park! I'm Baz Jones, 'ere with the luvly Kerry, an' THIS...is New Year's Evolution!
The cockney turns to his partner, beaming excitedly:
Baz: An' cor, Kerr, wha' a show we have ternite! Two titles matches, an' two new Champions ter be crowned!
Kerry Buckingham: Quite. I cannot wait to see Cross and Ace with their shiny new belts...
Baz: Wha' if it ent them? There's twenty buggers in th' one match, an' four on th' other! Could be anybody!
Kerry, however, simply scoffs at this suggestion:
Kerry: Oh, yes, dear. Who could possibly win it if not them?! Gavin?!
Baz: Well, actually...
Barry's analysis is, however, cut short by a peal of derisive laughter from Kerry, causing the East Londoner to frown. It does not take more than a moment, however, for him to regain his usual cheerful disposition, as he once again turns to the camera:
Baz: Well, don' matter who wins. Wo'ever 'appens, we're in f'r a corker of a night! An' we 'ope you are too!
On these words, the camera cuts away from ringside, to elsewhere in the arena...

The camera switches to an area backstage where, stood in front of a UKWF banner, having already changed into her ring attire, is Lowri Moss.
Lowri: In just a matter of minutes, I’ll be a participant in the battle royal to crown the first UKWF Broadcast Champion. As I stated nine days ago, this is the biggest match of my career to date, and with the prize that’s up for grabs, it’s a match that I’m very much looking forward to competing in. However, right now, there a couple of other things that I need to discuss.
Following a brief pause, Lowri continues.
Lowri: The most recent occasion on which I was in the UKWF ring was last month, on night two of Challenge of Champions, when the Australian-American Connection defeated me and Neal Durden to become the number one contenders for the tag team titles. And, before I go any further, I want to take this chance to publicly wish Valerie and Oscar good luck for their future title match.
Lowri smiles.
Lowri: My reason for bringing up the match I was in at Challenge of Champions, is that in the five weeks that have passed since then, Neal has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. Supposedly he was in Tijuana, in Mexico, last Monday, to compete in a match there, but I’m not so sure that it was Neal - I think it may have been a lookalike, an impostor, as I can’t believe that the Neal Durden I know would lose a two-out-of-three falls match by two straight falls, in just sixty-three seconds.
Lowri shakes her head.
Lowri: When I joined the UKWF, I didn’t expect to be put in a tag team straight away. I daresay that Neal didn’t expect it, either. But the two of us made it work, and prior to last month’s setback, we were unbeaten as a team.
She lets out a small sigh, before continuing.
Lowri: I still have aspirations to win the tag team titles, but I can’t do that without a partner, and at present, I have no idea where mine is. I’ve tried calling Neal, I’ve tried texting him, but I’m yet to receive any response. Maybe he has gone into hiding because he blames himself for our loss at Challenge of Champions, but I absolutely don’t. Wherever Neal is, and whatever the reason for his disappearance, I hope he turns up safe and sound before too long. Until then though, I guess I’m flying solo - starting with tonight’s battle royal.
There is a slight shrug of the shoulders from Lowri.
Lowri: The other thing I want to address are the rumours about me that have been circulating online. Now, some of them aren’t true, some of them might be true, but I can promise you all, that regardless of whether or not I end up appearing in another promotion’s ring, you will still see me in the UKWF at every opportunity, kicking people in the head - and that continues in a moment or two from now, when I set foot in the ring with nineteen opponents, to try to win the Broadcast Championship.
Lowri nods.
Lowri: You know, during today, I’ve seen tweets from a number of my opponents, claiming they’re going to win the battle royal, they’re going to win the title, et cetera. I've chosen not to say anything on Twitter about the forthcoming match, and I certainly haven't proclaimed that I'm going to win it, but as I read the tweets from my opponents, I thought about how most of these people - if not all of them - are going to be left severely disappointed. However, while nineteen of the twenty participants in the battle royal will leave empty-handed tonight, someone has to win. And that made me think, “Pam na fi?”
Lowri’s smile broadens.
Lowri: Why not me?
She then winks at the camera, before it cuts away.

The scene fades in on a backstage corridor, the wrestler's entrance door a few feet in front of the camera, at the end of the hall. A door which after a few moments opens and Ace Watson steps through, greeted by a mixture of mostly boos with a few scattered cheers. Dressed in casual attire, he walks down the hall towards the camera, a bag containing his gear slung over his shoulder. As Ace approaches a stack of crates, Alyssa Drew jumps out from behind them right in front of Ace.
Alyssa Drew:Boo!
Ace Watson: Fu-!
Ace jumped in his place as he took a quick breath in, before quickly straightening himself out, trying to hide the fact he had just jumped.
Ace Watson: What the hell do you want?
He says, blankly.
Alyssa Drew:Did I scare you, Acey?!
Alyssa stands there in front of him smiling widely.
Ace Watson: No!
Ace said, frowning as he adjusted the bag on his shoulder, which he had almost dropped moments before.
Alyssa Drew:Liar, liar, pants on fire!
Alyssa pokes him as she laughs.
Alyssa Drew:I saw you jump like 2 feet in the air!
Ace looked down at where Alyssa poked him, an unimpressed look on his face, then back to her.
Ace Watson: No you didn't.
Alyssa Drew:Whatever you say, Acey! So... I have a question for you.
Watson rolled his eyes and sighed.
Ace Watson: Fine. But only because I know you're going to ask even if I say no.
Alyssa Drew:So... with you and Queen Bitch being splitsville, are you going to still eliminate yourself for her?
Alyssa smiles widely hoping she pressed a button.
Ace Watson: Please don't call- Um... No... I'm not... I want to win it...
Ace answered, eventually.
Alyssa Drew:Good! Then I can eliminate you myself!
Alyssa smiles widely and laughs. Ace scoffed.
Ace Watson: I don't know how you're going to do that when you'll have already been eliminated by any other competitor in that match.
Alyssa Drew:Not if you're the first eliminated!
Ace Watson: That's not going to happen though, I'm beating you and the other 18 people in that match. Im going to go from being the last ever Zero Gravity Champion, to the first ever Broadcast Champion.
Alyssa Drew:You sure you won't be distracted by the Queen Bitch?!
Ace Watson: Don't... Well, I'm going to do my thing, and leave her alone to do hers... If we face off I'll try to do so respectfully...
Alyssa Drew:Or I can just eliminate both of you.
Alyssa smiles and winks at Ace.
Ace Watson: No, you can't. Not going to happen.
He shakes his head, and starts walking past her, hoping that Alyssa wouldn't follow.
Alyssa Drew:But, what happens if I do?!
Alyssa runs to try and catch up to him.
Ace Watson: There's no point even coming up with a hypothetical ending to that, because it isn't going to happen.
He keeps walking, not looking back at Drew.
Alyssa Drew:If you say so! I'll see you out there, Acey! Good luck!
He stops and turns, looking at Alyssa with a light frown, surprised by her good luck wishes.
Ace Watson: Don't need luck.
Alyssa Drew:Everyone needs luck sometimes!
Ace Watson: Yes but you need a certain level of skill to be in the right place at the right time for the luck to even find you.
Alyssa Drew:And I'd like to think I'm pretty darn lucky, Acey.
Ace Watson: You must have been to have pinned me.
Alyssa Drew:That was all skill, baby! Did you see how good that Tiger Suplex looked?!
Ace Watson: Well no, funnily enough I didn't see it.
Alyssa Drew:You didn't watch the replay?
Ace Watson: No. Why would I watch that??
Alyssa Drew:Because I looked freaking awesome in that match!
Alyssa laughs.
Alyssa Drew:Am I bugging you?!
Ace Watson: No you didn't. And do you really need to ask that? Any time we have the "pleasure" of talking you bug me.
Alyssa Drew:I'm not THAT bad, am I?!
Ace comes to a stop outside a room with his name on.
Ace Watson: I'll get back to you on that one. After I win the Broadcast Championship later tonight.
Alyssa Drew:Good luck, again, Acey. You'll need it.
Alyssa sticks out a hand. Watson looks down at her extended hand, holding there for a few moments before laughing lightly and shaking his head, opening the door to his locker room and stepping inside, closing the door behind him.

20-Person Over-The-Top-Rope Broadcast Championship Battle Royal
The match starts with all twenty competitors already in the ring. There is barely room for anyone to move, but that certainly does not put off the wrestlers, who all appear to be picking their initial targets as they wait for the bell. Then, as it rings, each lunges towards their desired target, aiming to eliminate them as soon as possible.
Unsurprisingly, quite a few of them set their sights on Gav the Chav, nominally one of the easiest targets, if not the easiest. Gav himself – also unsurprisingly – goes for the shortest target, Kelly Garrett. However, the powerlifter pre-empts the local wrestler's offence, and rocks Gav with a punch which sends him reeling backwards towards the centre of the ring.
Immediately, two or three wrestlers perk up, drawn like sharks to meat, and run towards the chav. Gav, however, recovers from his daze surprisingly quickly, or at the very least is aware enough of his surroundings to dodge out of the way of the first wrestler to come for him – Felicity Glee – and dump her over the top rope! To everyone's shock, Gav the Chav gets the first elimination!
ELIMINATED: Felicity Glee
Following hot on the heels of newcomer Glee, however, is another newcomer, the 'Indy King', Jake Sullivan. He profits from Gav's distraction to sneak in from behind and hurl him over the top rope...
...but the chav hangs on! His brow visibly red with sweat, he nonetheless makes a brave effort at 'skinning the cat', and eventually manages to balance himself on the apron. Astonishingly, as he steps back in, he finds nobody's attention is on him, his opponents perhaps assuming he had already been eliminated. As such, he has all the time in the world to walk up to Sullivan – who has his back turned and is punching The Jew Blazer – and throw him over the top rope! The crowd gasps as Gav's elimination count rises to two!
ELIMINATED: Jake Sullivan
His confidence levels now soaring, Gav spots another potential target hurtling towards him – Arabella, sent reeling by a kick from Hazel Overton – and pounces, giving the fan-favourite a shove over the top rope and to the floor! Gav's elimination count rises to three!
ELIMINATED: Arabella
Understandably chuffed, the Chav puffs out his chest, letting out a bellow of triumph. His joy, however, is short-lived, as his elation has led him to let his guard down, and one of the other participants capitalises. Before Gav knows what hit him – literally – he is being chucked over the top rope by The Jew Blazer!!
Once again, however, the Chav somehow manages to hold on, and skin the cat for long enough to steady himself on the apron. The expression on his face is one of relief, as he once again prepares to enter the fray...
...and gets toppled off the apron by Kelly Garrett!!
ELIMINATED: Gav
As Gav walks away, ranting to himself and gesturing in anger, The Jew Blazer once again pounces at a chance, moving in to eliminate Kelly Garrett. To his surprise, however, the diminutive powerlifter turns the tables, and it is the Maccabee Marvel who goes head over heels to the floor!
ELIMINATED: The Jew Blazer
As all this is going on, at the other end of the ring, a cluster of wrestlers has banded together to try and dispose of Mac Mercer, the biggest man in the ring. Chris Ghensi, Francisco Lopez, Mikhail Reinhardt and Noah Reigner are just about managing to lift the Mega Man and shift him into an unsteady position, but just as it seems as though they will succeed, Mac explodes, pulling himself back down and opening his arms wide, with a roar. This causes all four of his opponents to take a step back, but as Mercer turns around, all four engage him again, keeping him pinned to the corner with punches.
A short distance away, Ace Watson and Bianca Davis have been at each other's throats since the beginning of the match – or rather, the Queen B has been attempting to land as many cheap shots as possible on her ex-boyfriend, whom she has trapped in the corner. Ace struggles mightily, attempting to keep Bianca at bay with punches, knees and headbutts, but the blonde somehow endures, profiting from the fact nobody is paying them any attention to drive knees into her hapless ex-boyfriend's midsection.
As this is going on, Mercer has once again managed to scatter his opponents, lunging out of the corner and hitting Reigner and Reinhardt with big double-clotheslines. Ghensi and Lopez are not quite so easy to take down, however, and team up on the big man, continuing to keep his hands full. Mercer, to his credit, manages to keep the contest relatively even, and at one point uses his speed to evade his two contenders as they try to pin him to the corner. Ghensi and Lopez turn around quickly, attempting not to lose the upper hand, but Mac charges at them, bellowing. Ghensi immediately dives out of the way, but Lopez is not so lucky, and gets thrown over the turnbuckle by a big clothesline from the Mega Man!
ELIMINATED: Francisco Lopez
While all this is going on, in the furthest corner, Bianca Davis remains surprisingly unchallenged as she wails on Ace Watson. After yet another cheap shot to her ex-lover's genitalia, the Queen B adds insult to injury by dropping Ace with her sitout facebuster, the Queen's Makeover! As Ace falls to the mat face-first, Bianca prepares to eliminate him...
...but finds herself getting trapped in a submission hold instead!
As a groggy Ace stands up a moment later, he is presented with the sight of Alyssa Drew holding the Queen B in a standing chickenwing. Seeing Ace staring at her, the Drew clan member smirks and shoves Bianca forward slightly, as if offering her up for elimination. Ace is clearly tempted, and steps forward , arm outstretched, but halts himself. He steps forward a second time, but once again retreats. He goes to give it a third try, but almost immediately falls back, shaking his head. Seeing this, Alyssa shrugs, still with the same smirk on her features, and dumps Bianca over the top herself!
ELIMINATED: Bianca Davis
Almost immediately after Bianca's feet touch the floor, Ace goes to eliminate Alyssa. The Drew clan member, however, is smarter than that, and ducks out of the way, giving Ace a wagging finger as she returns to an upright position, as if to say 'nope.' The former VoW athlete, however, is not discouraged, and promptly gives chase, seeking to go through with his intent.
As all this is going on, not too far away, Hazel Overton has caught Ursula Areano with the In A Haze superkick, throwing her against the ropes. She immediately rushes in for the elimination, but is surprised to find her motion halted midway to her target, as she gets thrown back with a suplex! This sends her crashing into Lowri Moss, while Kelly Garrett – the suplexer – forward-rolls to her feet and rushes towards Ursula herself! The Queen of Lucha, though dazed, is just quick enough to avoid it, however, and promptly fights back with the Fist of Fury, dropping Kelly like a brick! Unfortunately for her, her other foe – Hazel Overton - is back on her feet at this point, and blindsides her, managing to knock her over the ropes!
ELIMINATED: Ursula Areano
As for the person Hazel Overton fell on top of, Lowri Moss, she is still trying to get to her feet when one of the strongest wrestlers in the contest, Mikhail Reinhardt, spots her. Seeing a chance to get an elimination, the big German picks the Welsh lightweight up bodily, lifts her up into a military press, and chucks her over the top rope! The fans gasp as Lowri goes flying through the air, and Mikhail turns around, smirking at a job well done.
Unfortunately for the German, however, he tossed his opponent so hard that she flew right over the barricade dividing the standing section of the crowd from the ringside area. As such, she falls not on the floor, but on the outstretched hands of a group of fans, who are more than happy to pass her along down the rows. As such, when Lowri fully regains consciousness, she finds herself engaged in a spell of crowd-surfing!
Meanwhile, back in the ring, Mikhail has spotted another easy target, in the form of the still out-cold Kelly Garrett. He goes to pick her up, lift her above his head and throw her, like he did Lowri, but before he can complete the military press, he gets bowled over by Chris Ghensi, who has been flung across the ring by Mac Mercer! This causes the German to drop Garrett, as he stumbles and strives to retain his balance. Ghensi, still regaining his bearings, is an easy target, however, and Mikhail promptly steps in to eliminate him...
...only for Mac Mercer to come barrelling across the ring and do it himself, spearing Ghensi into the ropes, then unceremoniously dumping him over onto the floor!
ELIMINATED: Chris Ghensi
Mikhail is just quick enough to step out of the way and avoid getting eliminated, and immediately profits from Mac's precarious position to try and dump him over the ropes. In this, he is assisted by Noah Reigner and James Edwards, who see an opportunity to get rid of the biggest man in the match.
As all this is going on, Lowri Moss has reached the end of the standing sections of the crowd. Rather than put her down, however, the fans begin sending her in the opposite direction once again, and Lowri is seen pointing towards the announce table. The fans promptly comply, and a moment later, a stunned Barry and Kerry are forced to swerve to the side as Lowri lands on their table! Unfazed, the young Welshwoman begins to measure the distance between the announce table and the apron and – fancying her chances – takes a leap of faith. Her gambit works, and she lands near the turnbuckle, immediately holding onto it tight. She is not in the clear just yet, however, as, at ringside, the two Reinhardt sisters have spotted her and are rapidly advancing towards her. Lowri therefore quickly crosses the ropes and returns to the ring...
...only to be sent sprawling over the turnbuckle by Hazel Overton!
Somehow, however, the Welshwoman manages to have enough presence of mind to break her fall, instead using her agility to manoeuvre herself into a handstand position, which allows her to gracefully land on the ring steps, clear of danger yet again. The fans give her a round of applause for this stunt, but Lowri has no time to bask in it, as the Reinhardt sisters are once again pacing towards her. She therefore lets herself into the ring once more, this time keeping a low profile to avoid detection.
Nearby, Ace Watson and Alyssa Drew continue her game of cat and mouse, which has gone on for long moments. Presently, Ace is near the ropes, Alyssa advancing towards her. Ace prepares to dodge her attack and eliminate her...but is suddenly tripped up! The crowd gasps as Bianca Davis exacts a measure of revenge, and hinders her ex's intentions!
Tripped up as he is, Ace is easy pickings, and immediately attracts the attention of several wrestlers. Mikhail Reinhardt abandons his efforts to dump Mac Mercer for a moment to walk over and pick him up, still looking for his elimination, but Alyssa Drew intervenes, indicating in no uncertain terms that she wants to dump Ace herself. Time freezes for a moment as Mikhail looks at her in disbelief, and Ace moves quickly, scurrying to his feet and seeking to eliminate Alyssa...
...only for Reinhardt to push him away and dump the young Drew himself, to punish her for her interference!
ELIMINATED: Alyssa Drew
His first elimination finally achieved, Mikhail promptly returns to where Reigner and Edwards are still teaming up and resumes his previous activity. Ace, on the other hand, careens in a wild spiral which sends him bumping into Bubblegum, knocking him to the floor as he prepared to eliminate the only other person in this contest roughly his own size, Kelly Garrett! Realising she has been spared, the powerlifter promptly pushes herself upright and gets away from the ropes, now fully recovered and looking for her next victim.
She ends up finding her, in the form of Hazel Overton. She has just dropped Cindy Warren with her swinging neckbreaker, In A Haze, and is bringing the nurse to her feet, ahead of an elimination, when Garrett rushes in from behind and pushes her towards the ropes. Hazel tries to resist as Kelly bends her over the top rope, but the Physically Dominated clothesline from hell sees to it that the hard-luck wrestler is eliminated.
ELIMINATED: Hazel Overton
Seizing his chance, Bubblegum chooses this moment to make a second attempt at eliminating Garrett. He runs in with a discus elbow to the back of the powerlifter's head and topples her over the ropes, but Kelly flips over onto her front before he has time to finish pushing her over. She kicks her legs out, pushing Bubblegum away, and immediately goes about bringing herself to an upright position. Undaunted, Bubblegum runs in once more, but Kelly outsmarts him yet again, ducking at the last second and turning the tables on the newcomer. The back body drop attempt is successful, and Bubblegum gets thrown over and out!
ELIMINATED: Bubblegum
Cindy Warren is just recovering at this point, but still groggy enough that she does not see Garrett stepping in towards her. A moment later, the diminutive powerlifter is adding another name to her list of eliminations, as the nurse gets thrown out!
ELIMINATED: Cindy Warren
Meanwhile, at the far end, the joint efforts of Reinhardt, Reigner and Edwards have finally been successful in pushing Mac Mercer over the top rope. The fans let out a groan of disappointment as the affable Mega Man goes over the top and to the outside, his participation in the Battle Royal over!
ELIMINATED: Mac Mercer
Once this goal is achieved, James Edwards immediately backs away from the ropes, regaining the centre of the ring; Reinhardt, however, is greedy for more eliminations, and immediately lunges at Reigner. The newcomer telegraphs the attempt, however, and ducks under. Mikhail whirls around, but Reigner is ready, and the big German gets dropped with the SILVER BULLET REDUX!
The superkick connects directly with the German's chin, sending him down like a shot, and Reigner looks around to see there are no direct threats in his immediate vicinity. Once he has ascertained that Edwards is busy with Ace Watson and the two remaining women are brawling amongst themselves, he picks up Reinhardt's inert body and chucks him over the top!
ELIMINATED: Mikhail Reinhardt
Having obtained his elimination, the newcomer hangs back, watching the other remaining participants duke it out. He goes so far as to sit on the turnbuckle, and gestures as if eating popcorn, a smug smirk on his features.
Oblivious to all this, the other four of the final five wrestlers carry on with their personal tussles. Edwards and Ace have a rather evenly matched brawl, while some distance away, Kelly Garrett has Lowri Moss pinned against the ropes. The powerlifter attempts to wear her opponent down with a series of punches to the face, and these appear to be having the desired effect, as Lowri is visibly groggy. Satisfied, Garrett takes a step back, before launching into the Physically Dominated clothesline...
...but Lowri somehow dodges! A swerve of the body is enough to get the young Welshwoman in the clear, and with Kelly Garrett off-balance, Lowri promptly seizes her chance! A moment later, the small but powerful wrestler is going up and over the top rope, her goal eluding her despite having the most eliminations out of anyone in the match!
ELIMINATED: Kelly Garrett
As this is going on, Ace manages to use his cunning to get the drop on James Edwards. Trapped against the turnbuckle by the Lion's Road Iron Champion, he is nonetheless able to use his speed to get in a poke to Edwards' eyes. This goes unnoticed by any of the referees surrounding the ring and thus Ace receives no sort of punishment. Instead, as Edwards stumbles around, he is able to bolt out of the corner and towards the ropes! Lowri Moss, still processing her elimination of Kelly Garrett, never sees him coming, and he therefore manages to add an elimination of his own to his personal tally!
ELIMINATED: Lowri Moss
Unfortunately for him, Reigner takes advantage of the favourable circumstances to drop down from the turnbuckle and rejoin the fray. At first, he appears to be heading for Edwards, but he changes his course midway through, heading for the ropes and Watson! As he turns away from his elimination, the former VoW Zero Gravity Champion is therefore met with an onrushing opponent, who has no problem throwing him over the top and to the floor!
ELIMINATED: Ace Watson
Thus the Battle Royal is down to its final two competitors, and the fans at the Surrey Sports Park do not seem too sure what to make of either of them. They seem happy to boo Reigner, whose cocky strut does not help matters, but the reaction towards Edwards is mixed, as the crowd seems more predisposed towards him than the other survivor in this match.
Reigner, however, does not seem too concerned with what the fans think of him; his main focus seems to be on ending this match as quickly as possible. As such, he brushes off the hate as he steps towards Edwards, seeking to take advantage of his confusion to toss him over the top rope.
The 'Burning Heart', however, somehow manages to process that there is someone behind him, and blindly throws an elbow behind him. This connects with Reigner's face, causing him to stumble back a step or two, but he is soon back on the offence, and charging towards Edwards once more.
The few seconds' respite is, however, enough for Edwards to regain his bearings, and as such, when Reigner charges again, the 'Burning Heart' is ready. He dodges the attack, and Reigner's momentum carries him towards the ropes, momentarily turning the tables!
Reigner, however, is sufficiently aware to spin himself around before hitting the ropes – and not a moment too soon, as Edwards immediately charges in. His quick thinking, however, leaves Reigner with just enough time to dive out of the way, tumbling into a safety roll which delivers him back on his feet a moment later, once again with the upper hand!
Predictably, he charges in yet again, but Edwards is just as quick on his feet, and manages to turn himself around to face Reigner, much like his opponent did a moment later. As such, when he runs in, Reigner is met with a boot to the chest, which sends him reeling back a step or two, and once again gives Edwards an opening. The 'Burning Heart' steps in, looking to explore it. He rushes in, looking for his devastating Violent Gospel, but Reigner is still on the ball and dodges it, ducking underneath Edwards!
Both athletes pump their own brakes, turning around to face one another as the crowd goes ballistic around them. Knowing there is not a second to waste, they then each run towards one another, James's leg extending from behind him while Reigner lifts his own, looking for another Silver Bullet Redux dropkick...
...only for Edwards to move in a split-second earlier and land his shot before Reigner can let off his! The Violent Gospel drops Noah like a brick, but James does not let him touch the ground; letting his momentum carry him forward, he grabs Noah by the hair and hurls him over the top rope! Noah bounces off the apron on his way down, and for a moment it seems as though his feet may not touch the floor, but that illusion is short-lived; as the wrestler's head hits the floor, the rest of his body crumples, and his feet come into contact with the wooden floor of the Surrey Sports Park! No more than a split second later, the bell rings, officially crowning newcomer James Edwards as the inaugural UKWF Broadcast Champion!
ELIMINATED: Noah Reigner
WINNER in 17:45 and inaugural UKWF Broadcast Champion: James Edwards

The camera cuts backstage, where we find Night Train Ayano wandering the halls of the Surrey Sports Park. The green-haired joshi is seen looking inside a number of doors, each time repeating the same call:
Night Train Ayano: Gaia?! Gaia?! Is in here?!
Each time, however, the Ayano clan member comes up empty-handed, as there appear to be no signs of her tag team partner anywhere in the vicinity. Instead, some of the doors reveal empty rooms, while others offer a glimpse of fellow roster members changing into their gear, and yet another is quite clearly a lavatory.
Eventually, Night Train reaches the final door in that particular hallway. The expression on the joshi’s face indicates that she is not holding out much hope, but as she opens the door, her dour features break into a smile.
Night Train Ayano: Gaia!!! There is being!!!
The camera pans behind the joshi as she enters the locker room, in the corner of which sits a somewhat pensive Gaia Galanos. The Greek wears a deep frown, but this does not put off Night Train, who excitedly scarpers up to her and shoves a wad of papers under her nose.
Night Train Ayano: LOOKIES!
Gaia, visibly irritated, tries to push the joshi’s hand away, with a grunt. Night Train, however, persists, once again showing Gaia her collection of print-outs.
Night Train Ayano: LOOKIES! Is thingy for rematch! Partition! Night Train gets BO-COO signings!!
Gaia Galanos: Not now, Night Train.
Night Train Ayano: Yes now! LOOKIES! We show this to Kensington Gardens man, and he gives rematch! We go get titles back for Hunt by Night!
Galanos doesn’t even bother to look back at her partner.
Gaia Galanos: I said, not now. In fact, not ever. I’m done with the tag team division.
Gaia’s voice is stern, giving even Night Train pause. Still, the Ayano clan member continues to try to make her partner see the advantages of her plan:
Night Train Ayano: No done. Rematching. Then win titles again. Then TWO-TIME CHAMPIONS!!!
The joshi fist-pumps, whooping, but her partner is visibly less amused. Gaia stands up and turns to Night Train.
Gaia Galanos: Listen to me very closely, I have no interest in carrying your little ass to another Tag Team title reign.
Night Train Ayano: No carry. Help! Partners! Gaia work, and Night Train work, and in the end, TWO-TIME, TWO-TIME…
Before Night Train can finish what she’s saying, Gaia Galanos takes her down with an abrupt double-leg takedown before mounting her and raining down punches. The crowd, realizing what has just taken place, begins booing Gaia as she continues to rain down punches until Night Train is bleeding and sobbing from the sudden attack. That’s when officials and backstage personnel begin filtering in. Some of them grab Gaia by the arms and drag her away. She then shoves them off and levels one of them with a European Uppercut. This springs her free for a moment longer as she goes to attack Night Train again, but is held back before she can do so by some of the officials. Once she’s corralled, she watches as Night Train begins pushing herself to her feet, checking her now bloodied face. Gaia raises her arms, implying she’s done. The officials and backstage personnel cautiously release her as Gaia addresses Night Train.
Gaia Galanos: Maybe next time you’ll realize not now means not f*BEEP!*ing now.
Without another word, Galanos walks out of the locker room as the officials go to tend to Night Train’s injuries.

Blaise Fader v MJ Bell v Arcane v Magdalena Waechter
As soon as the bell rings, both Magdalena Waechter and MJ Bell make a lunge for Arcane. Predictably, however, the two soon become occupied with one another, lapsing into a brawl and forgetting the New Management representative. Arcane is, therefore, free to make his way towards Blaise Fader, and a smirk of anticipation broaches the Londoner's lips as he slowly paces towards the Champion. Blaise, however, does not seem intimidated, merely sliding into a fighting stance and preparing to meet her opponent head-on!
As Waechter and Bell continue to go blow-for-blow in the corner – the German having the upper hand in terms of intensity, if not technique – Arcane rushes at Blaise with a running clothesline. The Champion quickly shifts her stance, however, and moves out of the way, causing the Londoner to be thrown off-balance. Fader immediately capitalises, transitioning Arcane's attempt into a hip toss, which sends the New Management envoy sprawling!
Having disposed of one foe, at least for the time being, Blaise quickly strides over to the corner to help MJ deal with the menace of Magdalena Waechter. Without the nun spotting her – engaged as she is in the brawl with Waechter – she manages to slip in behind Magdalena, pry her away from MJ, and throw her over with a German suplex! MJ readies for a fight as Blaise rolls back through to her feet, but the United Kingdom Champion merely smiles and winks, offering her Number One Contender a handshake.
Before MJ can accept it, however, the two women are once again called into action, to deal with the threat of Arcane. The Londoner is rushing at both of them, once again swinging a double-clothesline, and it takes the two women's quick reflexes to sidestep it and haul the male competitor over the ropes and to the outside!
Even then, the two have no respite, however, as by this time Magdalena Waechter has recovered and is advancing rapidly towards them. The German is, however, moving slower than Arcane, and as such, Blaise and MJ opt for a different tactic; Bell runs at the zealot, hitting her with a hurricanrana which sends her sprawling towards Blaise, and the United Kingdom Champion does the rest, ducking underneath the German and sending her over the ropes with a big back body drop! Magdalena lands centimetres from Arcane on the arena floor, and the two women do take a moment to exchange a quick high-five this time around, as they survey the results of their cooperative efforts.
It does not take long, however, before they are once again prepared for action, as they spot Arcane just returning to his feet. To their surprise, however, the Londoner's focus as he pulls himself back up to a vertical position is not on them, but on the fourth participant in the match, with whom he has some unfinished business. The same smirk from before broaches the former convict's lips as he steps in towards Magdalena Waechter and pulls her to her feet, eager to assert his superiority over her.
With their opponents otherwise engaged, Bell and Fader are left to focus on one another, which they immediately do. Blaise calls for the collar-and-elbow tie-up, and MJ is more than willing to accept, stepping in to lock horns with the United Kingdom Champion. The fans give the two competitors a deserved ovation as they begin to jockey for position.
Meanwhile, on the outside, Arcane is taking advantage of his surprise drop on Magdalena to inflict some damage on the German. He shoves her roughly against the closest barricade, then pulls her back into a German suplex, which sends the zealot back-first against the apron. The impact makes Magdalena bounce off slightly, and Arcane – who has scrambled to his feet to try and retain his momentum – wastes no time connecting with a European uppercut. Magdalena slumps to the floor, unconscious, and Arcane prepares to re-enter the fray.
Inside the ring, Blaise has naturally managed to obtain the upper hand over MJ, using her weight and strength advantage to break the tie-up and slip in behind MJ for a suplex! She rolls through to her feet and signals for the Exocet big boot, but a blur of motion behind her catches her attention, and she turns to see Arcane re-entering the ring. There is no more than a split-second hesitation before the Champion once again signals for the Exocet...this time on Arcane! She takes a moment to size up her opponent, then runs towards him...
...and misses, as Arcane dives out of the way! Blaise's foot bounces off the ropes, and she frantically scrambles to turn around...
...only for Arcane to react quicker, and catch her from behind with a release German suplex! The United Kingdom Champion hits the mat hard, and the London-born wrestler cannot keep yet another smirk from appearing on his lips as he rolls through to his feet and steps in towards her. The fans give him a piece of their mind as he does, booing vehemently...
...only for their boos to turn to cheers as MJ Bell engages the male competitor from behind, leaping onto his back to wrap herself around him and lock in a dragon sleeper! She is struggling to grab a firm enough hold, however, and Arcane takes advantage of that, letting himself fall into a seated position and converting the attempt into an impromptu backpack stunner! The jeers rain down from the stands once more as the New Management representative returns to his feet, but Arcane brushes them off as he takes a moment to pick his next target.
Before he can do so, however, his attention is caught by movement from behind, and he turns around to see a recovered – and livid! - Magdalena Waechter stalking towards him. The Londoner does not hesitate for more than a moment, promptly running at his opponent with another clothesline, but this time Magdalena is alert; she sidesteps it with deceptive grace and – as Arcane spins around – counters it into a big boot! The Londoner stumbles into the ropes, and Magdalena continues to display quick reflexes, running in to connect with a one-legged dropkick, which further entangles the Londoner in the ropes. As for the German, she begins to roll through to her feet once again...
….only to feint to the side as she senses movement behind her! By doing so, she is able to avoid Blaise Fader's charge from behind, and the United Kingdom Champion crashes and burns in her bulldog attempt! Undaunted, she quickly attempts to scramble to her feet, but Magdalena is quicker, and connects with another running front dropkick, which hits the kneeling Champion in the face and takes her back down.
Not letting her spell of momentum break her concentration, the Canoness quickly turns around, keeping tabs on her opponent's statuses. Arcane is just about untangling himself from the ropes while, further away, MJ Bell is herself stirring. Considering the male competitor to be of superior importance at that particular moment, however, it is towards Arcane that Magdalena steps, pulling him off the ropes by way of a chokehold. The referee immediately attempts to intervene, but Magdalena simply shoots him a withering look as she tosses the struggling and fighting Arcane towards the corner. The Englishman falls in a seated position, and the German wastes no time; she runs in and hits her trademark flip senton on her opponent! The Cry Havoc connects, and Magdalena deals another blow on the man she has been butting heads with for the past two months!
Having hit her impacting move, the German quickly seeks to pull herself back to an upright position. From her upside-down position, however, it takes her a second or two longer than it normally would have, and this ends up costing her; by the time she finally pushes herself upright, MJ Bell is advancing towards her at a rapid pace! Magdalena attempts to pre-empt her opponent's offence, but is not quick enough to avoid getting thrown into the corner with a dropkick! For the second time in the match, she lands on top of Arcane, and it is MJ's turn to find herself as the only competitor standing!
Not for long, however, as soon Blaise is pulling herself back to her feet. For the second time in the matchup, Champion and Number One Contender find each other eye to eye. As each woman stares the other one in the eye, Blaise jerks her head towards the stands at the Surrey Sports Park, from where two duelling chants have started arising:
HEEEEEY, HEY MJ, OOOH, AAAH, I WANNA KNO-O-O-O-O-OW, IF YOU'LL BE MY GIRL!
TAKE ME DOOOOOWN, IN A BLAISE OF GLORYYYYY....
for the second time, one of them calls for a clean challenge. This time, it is MJ who calls for the lock-up, and a moment later the two women are once again measuring forces in the centre of the ring.
Once again, predictably, it is the bigger and heavier United Kingdom Champion who gets the upper hand, this time pulling Bell in for a vertical suplex. She lifts her smaller opponent up and stalls for the usual few seconds, but before she can connect, MJ Bell somehow manages to wriggle herself back to an upright position, countering the move! She lands behind Blaise, and immediately attempts to go for her trademark Dragon Sleep, No Rest For The Wicked, but the Champion is too quick for her, whirling around and rocking her with a headbutt! MJ goes reeling backwards towards the ropes, and – for the third time in the match – Blaise signals for the Exocet. She takes off running towards MJ...
...and gets nailed with a roundhouse kick from a suddenly materialising Arcane!!!!!
The crowd gasps in shock as their Champion goes down from the kick by the Londoner, who was quick enough that no one saw him approaching. As for Arcane, he allows a smug smirk to broach his lips yet again at a job well done, as he prepares to drop down for a cover...
….only to get caught by a hurricanrana from MJ Bell, which sends him sprawling into the ropes. The Londoner just about manages not to spill over onto the ground, but in the intervening seconds, MJ has managed to scurry up the turnbuckle and, when Arcane pushes himself back upright, he gets met with a missile dropkick right to the back of the head! The Fire Rain connects, and Arcane goes right back down again!
The fans cheer as, for the second time, MJ finds herself as the last woman standing. The veteran, however, does not let that distract her, and instead begins to pick her next target amongst her fallen opponents.
In the end, that choice is made for her, as Magdalena Waechter pulls herself upright and clambers towards her, zombie-like. MJ takes the reigns of the offence once again, running towards the German, but Magdalena is not fazed, simply dropping the Number One Contender with a Big Boot. Almost without stopping to think, the German then connects with a curb stomp, smashing MJ's face into the turnbuckle with a sickening crunch. Her objective seemingly accomplished, it is the Canoness's turn to smirk, as she looks around for her next target.
Predictably, between the two fallen athletes, she chooses her most direct foe, Arcane. She begins to make a beeline towards the Londoner, but gets sidetracked as Blaise Fader pulls herself to her feet and runs in towards her. The German is seen letting out a sigh of exasperation as the United Kingdom Champion stumbles towards her; then, reaching in, she grabs MJ by the arm and whips her past her and towards the ropes, intending to connect with a move on the rebound. Instead, however, it is Blaise who surprises her by launching into a running crossbody, which takes the German down and leaves the Champion in position for the first cover of the match. The referee slides in...
…but Magdalena angrily shakes Blaise off the top of her, throwing the Champion off just enough to thwart her pinfall. Relieved at having avoided a potential predicament, the German promptly rolls herself away from Blaise and grabs onto the ropes, attempting to pull herself to her feet.
Blaise, however, has found herself a chance, and does not let Magdalena go through with her intent. Instead, she slips in behind the Canoness and throws her over with a German suplex! Magdalena hits the mat as Blaise rolls through to her feet and waits for her opponent to scramble back upright.
Before the United Kingdom Champion can capitalise, however, the fourth participant in the fray intercepts her, coming in from the side to spin her around and tuck her under his arm. A moment later, he is connecting with a brainbuster, dropping the United Kingdom Champion like a rock. He rolls through to his feet and prepares to slide in for a pin...
...but is instead surprised to feel the impact of someone hopping onto his back and pulling him down! Before he knows what is going on, he is being hit with two knees to the back, as the Backdraft connects and MJ Bell comes back into the match with a shout! It is the decorated athlete's turn to consider a cover...
...only to see her intentions thwarted as well, as Magdalena Waechter runs in, spins MJ around, and traps her head. The Number One Contender writhes and squirms, attempting to break free, but is unable to prevent her opponent from lifting her and connecting with the inverted atomic drop she calls the Chastity Belt! MJ stumbles around groggily after the move, but Magdalena does not relent, pulling her in once again and connecting with a second! MJ is on jelly legs once again, but still the Canoness does not halt her attack. She steps in and goes for a third, to complete the sequence...
….but finds herself getting dropped with a surprise bulldog from Blaise Fader, who once again comes to her Number One Contender's rescue!
The two women barely have time to share a nod of thanks, however, before the fourth participant in this match makes his presence known once more. Arcane has recovered from the lungblower, and throws Blaise over with a German suplex! MJ is still on wobbly legs, supporting herself against the ropes, as he rolls over to his feet, and he sees his chance. He pulls her in, prying her away from the ropes, and connects with a snap powerslam, taking her down once again. He smiles in acknowledgement of a job well done...
...and finds himself getting thrown over with a release German suplex, as Magdalena pries him away from his opponent!
This irritates the Londoner, who struggles to scramble to his feet, a deep frown on his features. Magdalena, however, moves quicker, taking advantage of the seconds she knows she has bought to make a rare excursion to the top turnbuckle. From there, she measures the still struggling Arcane, apparently deciding her odds are favourable, as she launches into a double-foot stomp...
...WHICH MISSES, as Arcane just about manages to see it coming and roll out of the way! The Canoness is left to grimace in pain as the Englishman scrambles to his feet and runs in with a clothesline, throwing her over the top rope and onto the floor!
Once again, however, Arcane has very little time to savour his victory, as one of his other competitors runs in from behind and capitalises on his preoccupation with Magdalena. In this instance, it is Blaise, who hits him with a clothesline of her own, sending him tumbling to the floor to join Magdalena yet again!
This once again leaves the two fan favourites to square off – a fact Blaise acknowledges with a grin and a tilting of the eyebrows. MJ, however, is far enough into the 'zone' that she barely acknowledges it, instead engaging Blaise with a dropkick, which sends the Champion towards the corner! MJ scrambles to her feet and quickly goes for a Yakuza kick, but Blaise spins out of the way, popping in behind MJ and throwing her over with a suplex, buying herself a few precious seconds!
Both women are quick to roll through to their feet, however, neither wanting to risk either of their opponents sliding in and interfering with their chances. Both are, however, also cautious, knowing even the slightest mistake can compromise the match, and as such, a few moments elapse with neither woman rushing into offence.
As it turns out, they need not have worried about Magdalena and Arcane. Having recovered at roughly the same time from their tumbles over the top rope, the two wrestlers also pull themselves to their feet at about the same time, and it does not take more than for each to catch the other's eye before both are engaged in a heated brawl, swinging punches and forearm shots at each other and completely neglecting their two opponents in the ring!
As such, with their two rivals doing battle all around the ringside area, MJ and Blaise are free to do the same inside the ring, in far less heated but no less competitive fashion. Even still, it takes a long moment for either woman to risk any sort of offence, and the two are content to circle one another and look for an opening.
Eventually, it is Blaise Fader who makes the first move, going for a shoot kick. MJ Bell, however, manages to dodge it, and catch Blaise Fader with an arm drag, throwing her across the mat. The Number One Contender runs in, predictably looking for her trademark shining wizard kick, The Burning Mage, but Blaise is quick enough that Bell does not have time to launch into it. Instead, it is Blaise who connects with a hip toss, dropping her opponent onto her back!
As her opponent goes down, Blaise pauses briefly to look up at the stands and feel the energy from the crowd – as well as to make sure Arcane and Magdalena are not going to come in and bother her. Seeing the fans whipped into a frenzy, and the two controversial competitors retreating up the ramp, still deeply engaged in their personal brawl, the United Kingdom Champion seemingly makes up her mind. She picks up the still groggy MJ, sets her up in a powerbomb position, and connects with her alley-oop facebuster, the Fade Away, sending MJ into the turnbuckle! The Number One Contender hits the post face-first, but somehow manages to land with her feet on the ground, and Blaise sees her chance. She pulls Bell back towards her and slips her into the rack position, looking to connect with the Coventry Blitz powerbomb! The crowd cheer in anticipation of the big finish...
...only for MJ to somehow come to life before Blaise has time to properly adjust her grip, and slip out of the hold! Before the United Kingdom Champion can react, the Number One Contender has slipped down between her legs and pulled her into a surprise rollup!!! The referee slides in and counts...
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
And MJ gets a surprise win over the reigning Champion!
WINNER in 22:03: MJ Bell

Our scene cuts to the backstage where Gaia Galanos is walking toward the gorilla position. Based on the expression on her face, she means all business. After a few seconds, Gaia stops in her tracks and finds herself looking at a couple of security personnel along with the partial owner of UKWF, James Kensington.
Gaia Galanos: What?
James Kensington: Miss Galanos, taking into consideration what you did to Miss Ayano, and seeing as you saw fit to lay hands on contracted security personnel... I am afraid I must request that you take the rest of the evening off to hopefully come to your senses.
Gaia Galanos: No.
As if brushing Mr. Kensington off, Galanos goes to just walk right past him and his guards, but one of them extends his arm, barring Gaia from passing much like a gate would. The Lioness glances down at the arm, blocking her as James speaks again.
James Kensington: I will not presume to hazard a guess at what your issue is of late; however, you hurt an integral part of my staff, not to mention wounded your own teammate. In light of this, I am forced to bar you from going out there to address the crowd. I therefore suggest you turn on your heels and head home for the night.
Gaia seems very put off by the audacity of Mr. Kensington trying to pull his rank on her.
Gaia Galanos: Listen, James, I don’t know what kind of power trip you’re on right now, but I suggest you cut it out. I’m going out there.
Again, Galanos forges ahead, attempting to push past the security guards. James merely steps aside and allows the security to do their work. Unfortunately, it’s Gaia who does her work on them. One attempts to grab Gaia’s shoulder to stop her, but his arm gets twisted causing him to instinctively go down toward the ground. As she wrenches his arm, Gaia swings him toward the wall causing him to crash hard into it. This allows for the other guard to try to catch Galanos from behind, but she reverses behind him with a Hammerlock which she spines right into a Charybdis Lariat, knocking the security guard out cold! That’s when James Kensington finds himself staring face-to-face with Gaia Galanos.
Gaia Galanos: Do I have your attention now, James? Now, get out of my damn way!
At this point, a nearby wrestler attempts to cut in and talk some sense into Gaia. This is none other than Welsh rookie Lowri Moss, one of the most impressive performers in the Broadcast Championship Battle Royal earlier in the night. As the Greek attempts to push past Kensington yet again, she steps in, touching Gaia lightly on the arm:
Lowri Moss: Come on, Gaia...calm down, will you?
Gaia’s glare suddenly turns from Mr. Kensington to the new-comer, Lowri. Her jawline visibly tightens as she fights off the urge to strike Moss down.
Gaia Galanos: Mind your own business, Lowri.
Gaia says before shoving Moss away, and once again moving to walk right past them. That’s when Lowri steps right back up to her and gets in Galanos’ face.
Gaia Galanos: What? After having a good showing in some battle royal, you think you’re Wonder Woman now? Fine, I’m out of here.
Galanos turns and begins walking away before stopping and turning back to James Kensington and Lowri Moss.
Gaia Galanos: But, only under the circumstances you book Gaia Galanos versus Supergirl over there. I won’t take “no” for an answer.
Before anyone can retort to her, Gaia walks off toward the parking lot area to leave the building. As the Greek goes, James shakes his head.
James Kensington: I shall not stand for this. If she thinks I will simply bow to her will, she is very sorely mistaken.
Lowri, however, surprises the UKWF part owner by stepping forward and addressing him directly:
Lowri Moss: Actually...I don’t mind. I would like the opportunity.
James Kensington: Absolutely not! We cannot cave in to her demands! Otherwise it is anarchy!
Lowri, however, is insistent:
Lowri Moss: Please, Mr. Kensington. I can hold my own.
Seeing how determined the youngster is, James relents:
James Kensington: ...fine. I do hope you know what you are doing, though, young woman.
With this, the grey-haired gentleman walks off, leaving his interloper to softly mutter:
Lowri Moss: Don’t worry, sir...I do.
The scene fades out with a determined Lowri Moss walking off down the corridor.

The arena in Surrey Sports Park went silent when “A Little God in My Hands” by Swans started playing, probably expecting another debut to appear, but it was quickly filled with boos when a pink blur ran past the ramp with a gold belt in one hand and a shirt cannon in the other.
Carnival: NEW THEME SONG BITCHEEEEESSSSS!!!
The moment Carnival got inside the ring an absurd, and probably dangerous, amount of pink pyro start exploding from the ring posts and the arena. Meanwhile, she’s “dancing” in the ring with her belt while the audience does their best to boo over the sound of the pyro.
Not long after, the pyro turns green and it’s Moonlight’s time to walk to the ramp, unlike her sister, she takes her time. It’s quickly noticeable the lack of belt on the bigger Master, but, when the pyro turns blue people find out why that is, as Aurora, who seems to have returned to her traditional blue suit, comes to the ring with the second belt on her shoulder. The pyro and music only stop when Aurora gets in the ring.
Aurora: If you think UKWF’s got a new budget, let me make clear that I paid for all that pyrotechnics.
Aurora gives a stroll inside the ring, grinning so hard that you’d think her mouth would rip.
Aurora: These belts right here say that we don’t need any introduction, but we’ve got a lot of debuts today and, even though none of them are tag teams, I think we should let them know who are the most important people in this company. So, without further ado: I am the most intelligent living being to have ever exist, the bane of your existence, the one and only SUPERIOR ONE! Aurora Master! And I’m the manager of my little sisters right here.
Aurora points to Carnival, who is sitting on top of her cannon and biting her belt.
Aurora: This small pest is the bane of MY existence, she is psychotic, crazy and pretty, pretty stupid.
Carnival: HEY!
Aurora: The human pink pinball, DOCTOR CARNIVAL DAWN MASTER!! And this...
Aurora laughs and points at her six feet sister, who stood in the middle of the ring simply looking at the camera.
Aurora: THIS! This is the reason you should not mess with the Masters, the youngest and the biggest sister, the muscle of the family, everyone’s worst nightmare, MOONLIGHT! MURDERBOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSS!!!! MASTER!!! And they are YOUR, yes, YOUR, United Kingdom Tag Team Champions!
Aurora stops talking to absorb the boos, who are deafening at this point. She sits on the floor looking at her watch until the fans get tired and stop.
Aurora: Done?
The boos start all over again and Aurora looks at Carnival, who shrugs, and they wait a bit more. When the boos stop, again, she gets up and starts talking again.
Aurora: But I bet you’re all wondering “Why the Hell did they came all the way to Guilford? Was it just to gloat in front of us?”. The answer is... Yeah, mostly. Would we waste a chance to come here and show our brand new titles and see you contort in anger? Of course not! What? Did you thought we’d come here to address Aussie-Murica Connection? No! Oh, but I guess there’s something else we came here to do, to tell you that you can go to UKWF’s website right now and...
Aurora opens her jacket and the other sisters take their shirts to reveal brand new shirts, a blue, a pink and a green, saying “Master” on the back with a big number, 1 for Aurora, 2 for Carnival and 3 for Moonlight, right below it.
Aurora: BUY OUR BRAND NEW SHIRTS!!!
The audience boos again, making it almost painful to be inside the arena.
Aurora: Oi! Oi! Shut up! You’re making this harder on us! We got shirts for you guys, geeezz! Shoot the cannon, Dawn.
The audience cheers for the first time, but the cheers slowly fade when Carnival seems to miss the audience with every single throw. Soon there were shirts covering the ring, the ropes, the ringposts, the ramp and the floor, but none seem to have reached the audience.
Aurora: Not a single one, uh? Man, not your day today, I guess, Dawn. It’s okay! It’s okay! Moonlight give your shirt to someone, I know you’ll hit them!
Moonlight nods and rips her shirt off, throwing the remains right at a fan’s face, who the camera quickly pans out again as he seemed to try to jump to the ring, but is caught by the security.
Aurora: Yup, we got one. Okay, this is it, bye bye suckers! And thanks for the award!
Aurora blows a kiss and the sisters leave the ring while their new theme song seems to play under all the boos.

Before the match begins, an unexpected figure wanders out to ringside – none other than Madman Szalinski! Fans, announcers and wrestlers watch in confused shock as the veteran goes through the motions of his entrance, seemingly having every intention of taking the spot Salem Cartier left vacant in the match line-up! An equally flabbergasted Katherine Kensington muddles through the introduction of the masked veteran, as a few fans erupt into cheers at the prospect of seeing their favourite wrestle.
As he enters the ring, Madman shakes hands with everyone – even Cross Recoba – before taking his place at one of the corners of the ring to listen to the referee go through the rules. Once these have been laid out and understood by all, the bell rings, officially getting the night's Main Event under way!
North Sea Championship Ladder Match: Kincaid v Valkyrie v Cross Recoba v Constance Chapin v Madman Szalinski?
As soon as the bell rings, Madman further befuddles everyone in attendance at the Surrey Sports Park by immediately crossing the middle rope and exiting the ring. Three of the four officially scheduled participants in this match are still staring, O-faced, as the veteran drops off the apron and proceeds up the ramp, clutching his side as if he had a cramp. At the announce table, Barry Jones ventures that this is precisely the case, a theory met with sneering doubt by his announce partner. At any length, it seems clear that despite his best intentions, Madman will not be taking part in this title match!
North Sea Championship Ladder Match: Kincaid v Valkyrie v Cross Recoba v Constance Chapin
In the midst of all the chaos, however, one wrestler keeps a clear head: Cross Recoba promptly lunges for a nearby ladder and, profiting from his opponents' prolonged moment of shock, begins to scurry up the steps!
The blur of movement, however, snaps the other three athletes out of their stupor, and they all spring into action at the exact same time. Valkyrie shoulder-tackles Cross, while Kincaid pushes the ladder over, to ensure there is absolutely no chance his rival can climb up it. Cross goes careening to the floor, and the three fan-favourites crowd around him, waiting for him to recover from his tumble. As soon as he begins to stir, Kincaid reaches for him and brings him up roughly by the hair. He pulls him close and applies a shinbreaker. Cross stumbles around, and Valkyrie profits from the opportunity to run in with a shoulder tackle. Cross flies backwards, and is caught neatly by Constance Chapin, who throws him overhead with a crisp German suplex, completing a triple punishment for the New Management representative.
The three fan-favourites take no more than a moment to give each other congratulatory looks and nods, however; there is a match to be won, and all three know only one of them can win it. As such, the three step in towards each other, seeking to draw first blood...
...or at least Kincaid and Valkyrie do. Constance chooses to stay put, and simply watches as Kincaid levels Valkyrie with a big clothesline, before the Dane can inflict damage on either of her competitors. Then, as Kincaid turns toward her, the Mancunian assumes a fighting stance, her leg sliding backwards as she opens her arms, prepared for her opponent's charge.
And charge Kincaid does, running in with a shoulderblock. Constance, however, is ready, and nimbly sidesteps the move; then, as Kincaid crashes against the ropes, she gets in behind the veteran throws him over the ropes with a clothesline to the back of the head!
The move connects, but as Constance turns around, she finds Valkyrie barrelling towards her at full speed! The Dane has recovered from Kincaid's strike, and soon connects with a lariat, sending the Mancunian over the ropes to join Kincaid on the outside!
This is where Cross Recoba chooses to seize the moment and return to the match. He slips in behind Valkyrie and begins trying to lock in Garibaldi's Guillotine, but the Dane is alert, and displays her strenght by bodily lifting him over her head before he can complete the setup. Cross scrambles to his feet quickly, seeking not to lose momentum, but to no avail – Valkyrie floors him with a big lariat to become the last woman standing!
Though allowing herself a bellow of triumph, the Danish blonde elects not to waste any time, and promptly walks over to the discarded ladder. She props it up, looks up at the freshly-minted Championship hanging directly above her head, and begins to climb.
She has barely made it to the second step, however, when her progress is halted by Cross Recoba. Choosing function over form, the New Management representative crashes into the side of the ladder, toppling it over, and the Dane with it! Valkyrie collapses to the floor, but Cross somehow manages to grab the ladder in mid-air He pulls it back to an upright position and prepares to start climbing...
...only to be shoulder-tackled into it by Kincaid!
As both his rival and the ladder itself drop to the mat, the veteran Canadian wastes no time making a grab for Cross's hair. He brings his opponent to a vertical position and connects with a DDT, ramming Cross's head against the mat! He then quickly pulls himself to his feet and props the ladder back upright.
Before he can climb, however, his attention is drawn by the two female competitors in the match, each approaching from one side. Kincaid quickly assesses distances, and decides to go for Valkyrie first. The Dane runs in, but the veteran repels her with a surprise dropkick, which sends her stumbling back. Seeing she is about to hit the ropes, Kincaid scrambles to his feet and rushes in, throwing the big blonde over the ropes with a big shoulder block.
Knowing he has no time to lose, however, he quickly whirls around, to see Constance beginning to climb the ladder. He is unable to reach the Mancunian quick enough, but Cross Recoba – just about conscious enough to react – does his work for him, tugging at Constance's leg and causing her to stumble and fall off. Recoba crawls towards the ladder and clings onto his leg as he pulls himself up to his feet, but is not given a chance to start climbing; Kincaid immediately rushes in and hits him with a shoulder block as well!
Knowing he has bought no more than a few seconds, however, the Canadian forgoes climbing the ladder in favour of inflicting more damage upon his opponents. He therefore paces in towards Constance and brings her to her feet, connecting with a quick snap suplex to ensure she stays down. He then turns around and seeks to assert himself in a similar manner over Cross Recoba...
...only for the New Management representative to react faster, and leaps towards his rival with a spinning back kick! Kincaid goes down, and Cross Recoba temporarily finds himself as the only competitor standing!
Predictably, this leads him to once again turn his attention to the ladder, which is still propped up underneath the belt, where Kincaid left it. He races towards it as quickly as he can and begins climbing it. He takes the first step in stride, then slows himself down ahead of taking the second. He hoists himself up and prepares to tackle the third...
….BUT VALKYRIE RAMS INTO THE LADDER!!!
Recoba falls from some height as the Dane shoulder-tackles the ladder, while the metal implement falls over onto its side. With Cross apparently out of commission, Valkyrie has time to set the ladder back upright, steel herself, and begin climbing.
She makes the first step easily, and advances for the second.
She plants one of her feet on the second rung, then pulls her second one up...
...and feels someone land behind her with a thud.
She begins to turn around...
...but gets suplexed off the ladder by Constance Chapin!!!!
The two women go flying off the ladder, which topples forward to rest against the ropes. Valkyrie and Constance hit the mat hard, and for a moment, none of the four competitors in this match is responsive, as Chapin appears to have felt the effects of the suplex just as much as her opponent.
As such, for a few seconds afterwards, the only sounds heard are cries of encouragement from the two managers at ringside – Alyssa Kincaid and Emily Darcy Chapin – and the roaring ovation of the fans, predictably roused by an excellent wrestling match.
Eventually, the contestants begin to stir once again, exhibiting various degrees of consciousness. Constance Chapin – who is only recovering from a bad landing – is the first to begin attempting to pull herself to her feet, though a few metres away, Kincaid is also beginning to pull himself up. The Canadian is still shaking off the cobwebs of Cross's kick, however, and as such, it is the Mancunian who is the first to her feet. Still nursing her shoulder, she nonetheless makes her way towards the ladder in determined fashion. As she holds onto the sides and begins climbing, a chorus rises from the stands:
HEEEEY, WE WANT SOME CON-NIE! HEEEEY, WE WANT SOME CON-NIE!
Thrown off, Constance glares in the direction of ringside, where Emily Darcy is seen directing the chants with widely exaggerated maestro gestures. Seeing this, Constance reacts with – what else – an eyeroll, and forces herself to turn away from the din and once again concentrate on the task at hand.
The few seconds she has wasted have, however, cost her, as they have allow Kincaid to recover in full. As soon as he is on his feet, the Canadian lunges towards the ladder, hopping onto the bottom rung, directly below and behind Constance. From there, he wraps his hands around her waist and throws her off the ladder, in a not-quite-German suplex. Then, feeling the ladder start to topple forward again, he does not hesitate – he launches off the second step with a frogsplash From On High, landing directly on top of his opponent!
Predictably, this move has an impact on Kincaid's knee, and – not needing to advance for a cover – the Canadian promptly rolls off the top of Constance to clutch it, grimacing painfully. The two competitors stay down, and show no signs of recovering in the immediate future.
This, of course, leaves the field open for the other two competitors in this match. Cross and Valkyrie are up at almost the same time, and promptly run towards one another. Valkyrie leaps into a roundhouse kick, but Cross forward-rolls underneath it. He turns around just as Valkyrie is doing the same, and connects with a spinning back kick, similar to the one he hit on Kincaid moments earlier. Valkyrie goes stumbling towards the ropes, and Cross promptly connects with a forearm shot. The Dane pushes him away and attempts to get off the ropes, but Cross surprises her with a roundhouse kick! Valkyrie slumps against the ropes, seemingly out of commission, and Cross finally turns back towards the ladder.
In the time elapsing, however, Constance Chapin has begun to make her way towards the structure. Cross sees this and rushes her, but Constance coolly sidesteps, reversing the charge into a hip toss. Then, leaning over, she applies a Cobra Clutch on Cross, brings him halfway up, and connects with a legsweep. The Constance Clutch is effective, and the Mancunian buys herself a few seconds.
As chants of 'WE WANT SOME CONNIE' once again arise from the Surrey Sports Park crowd – who are clearly behind the globe-trotting newcomer – Constance starts making her way up the ladder, attempting to drown out the chants and focus on the prize at hand. She is successful in tackling the first two steps, at which point she looks down to see Cross beginning to budge. Knowing she does not have much time, she quickly makes her way to the third step, reaches for the belt overhead...
….and topples forward, as Cross throws his full body weight against the structure! Constance spills over the top of the ladder, then over the ropes to the outside, and the crowd gasp as she takes a nasty stumble to the floor. None, however, appear more concerned than Emily Darcy, who rushes over from where she is still directing the crowd, her playful expression mutated into one of concern. She joins the EMT team as they check on her life partner at ringside, then follows them, shaking her head dejectedly, as they load Constance onto a stretcher and carry her up the ramp. The Mancunian's participation in this bout is sadly over.
In the ring, however, the match continues, and Cross now has a chance to reach for the top prize. He appears well aware of this, and ignores the boos of the fans as he props the ladder upright from where it has fallen against the ropes and once again begins to climb.
He puts a foot forward, preparing to tackle the first step...
...and feels himself being tripped up from behind!
The New Management representative's face smashes against one of the rungs of the ladder, as a clamour rises from the stands. This is directed, of course, at Kincaid, who has a firm hold of Cross's leg and is pulling him backwards, preventing him from climbing.
While his face is bruised, however, Cross has not been rendered unconscious from his face-first bump into the ladder, and immediately turns over onto his stomach as Kincaid mounts him. He manages to fight back and prevent the Canadian from getting on top, instead rolling over onto his side as he tries to reverse the situation. Forgetting all technical considerations in the heat of their hatred for one another, the two men roll around on the floor for a few seconds, each attempting to mount the other, the better to wear them down.
Eventually, it is Cross who wins out, through a rake to Kincaid's eye. With the two men engaged in a tussle, this goes unseen by the referee, and Cross is able to mount Kincaid and deliver a series of quick punches to the Canadian's face.
Kincaid, however, is still sufficiently alert to buck up from the ring, throwing Recoba off. He immediately seeks to put some distance between himself and Cross, but the New Management associate grabs his leg, attempting to stop him. Kincaid does not hesitate, and mule-kicks Cross in the face, attempting to scramble to his feet.
His knee, however, betrays him, and he falls back down again, allowing Cross to retain his momentum. Recoba promptly takes the chance, lifting his opponent up and hitting his Osaka Street Stunner, The Skim. Cross's face wears a satisfied smirk as he gets back up to his feet and once again turns to walk towards the ladder. His eyes are on the belt above his head as he approaches the steel structure...
….ONLY FROM VALKYRIE, FROM OUT OF NOWHERE, TO INTERCEPT HIM!
Cross attempts to evade the Dane's grasp, but she is too quick for him. Roskilde's Kiss rocks him, and allows the Dane to step in and pull him into a gutwrench position. Knowing she has only temporarily dazed his opponent, Valkyrie is quick to react, dropping Cross on his head with Freyja's Justice! The gutwrench piledriver connects, and the Dane now has victory within her grasp!
Understanding this, the fans at the Surrey Sports Park promptly treat the big blonde to a chanted rendition of 'Ride of the Valkyries.' This draws a grin from Valkyrie, who nevertheless does not lose her focus, pausing only to wipe her hands before walking towards the ladder.
The coast is still one hundred percent clear as she begins to climb, making it to the first step, then the second. The fans roar as she makes it to the third rung and stretches towards the title, which is just out of reach. She adjusts her weight, puts one foot on the flat platform atop the ladder...
….and goes crashing to the floor as the structure topples over!!
The fans' chanting immediately turns into a reaction of dismay as Valkyrie lets her prize slip through her fingers, and lands hard on the mat. This turns to a gasp of horror as the ladder hits her on the head, rendering her unconscious, then a gasp of disbelief as Alyssa Kincaid is seen standing on the apron, quite close to the spot where the ladder was a moment ago! Though hard to believe, it seems as though Kincaid's wife may have been directly responsible for the continuation of this match, and stolen victory from Valkyrie's clutches!
Her husband, however, is oblivious to all this, having only just recovered from Cross' devastating stunner. As such, he is more preoccupied with shaking the cobwebs as he crawls across the mat, his knee clearly causing him an enormous amount of pain. He endures it, however, and manages to crawl over to where the ladder is propped on its side. He grimaces in pain as he attempts to pull it upright, and doubly so when – having succeeded – he uses it to bring himself to his feet. Even still, he manages to continue fighting through the pain and – with Alyssa's encouragement – begins to climb the ladder.
He has not tackled more then one rung when his knee flares up. Kincaid screams in agony, but something inside him makes him pull his leg onto the rung, and advance onto the second. He is far more careful with his injured knee this time, gingerly pulling it onto the ladder as he puts his front foot on the third rung. This time, however, he is not careful enough, and his knee once again causes him to scream. Almost reflexively, he leaps up, one hand snatching the title and yanking it. A moment later, he collapses onto the mat, his knee having finally given in...
...but the title held firmly in his hands!!! Alyssa jumps for joy as the bell rings, and her husband is crowned the inaugural UKWF North Sea Champion!!
WINNER in 23:58 and inaugural UKWF North Sea Champion: Kincaid
The crowd explodes as red and white streamers drop from the ceiling to land softly on the newly crowned Champion. The Canadian, however, stays down, still grimacing in pain even as he clutches the title to his chest. It is as EMTs enter the ring to assist him that the feed slowly fades to black, putting an end to a successful start to the New Year for UKWF!
