Match 1
(Over-The-Top Battle Royal / UKWF Broadcast Championship)
(Over-The-Top Battle Royal / UKWF Broadcast Championship)
Ursula Areano v Ace Watson v Kelly Garrett v Mac Mercer v Chris Ghensi v Arabella v Mikhail Reinhardt v Felicity Glee v Bianca Davis v Gav the Chav v The Jew Blazer v Alyssa Drew v Hazel Overton v Lowri Moss v Cindy Warren v Francisco Lopez v Bubblegum v Jake Sullivan v Noah Reigner v James Edwards
Time Limit: N/A
In a recent press release, UKWF announced the creation of two new singles titles, and hinted at inaugural champions for each of them being crowned at the first show of the year. Now, management are seeking to follow through with that intention, and have given twenty of the newest or more under-the-radar names in the company the chance to make a name for themselves by becoming the first-ever UKWF Broadcast Champion! To do so, however, each athlete will have to last long enough to see the remaining nineteen eliminated - by no means an easy task, regardless of the opposition! And there is undoubtedly some stiff opposition to be found in this battle royal, from outliers such as Kelly Garrett and Hazel Overton to rising stars like Chris Ghensi or Lowri Moss, and even established independent stars such as Mikhail Reinhardt, Ace Watson or Bianca Davis! Regardless of experience or accomplishments, however, every athlete in this contest has the same chance at achieving the ultimate goal - provided they display the smarts, resilience and strategic planning necessary to ensure they are the last person standing...
Match 2
(4-Way Dance)
Blaise Fader v MJ Bell v Arcane v Magdalena Waechter
Time Limit: 30m
The web of rivalries, inter-personal relationships and overall history connecting Blaise Fader, MJ Bell, Arcane and Magdalena Waechter needs no explaining at this point in each athlete's career. The four wrestlers' paths have crossed a number of times and in a number of ways over the course of 2016, and as 2017 starts, they look set to clash once more. At New Year's Evolution, all four will share a ring, as they go head to head in a four-way match that each will want to turn into a personal statement for the New Year. Scoring a pin over reigning United Kingdom Champion Blaise Fader will almost certainly be the main goal in Bell's, Arcane's and Waechter's minds, but could the personal issues between these athletes hinder that purpose? Or will they be able to overlook their hatred for each other long enough to achieve their goal? And will Fader be able to overcome the challenge and prove once more why she deserves to hold the main accolade in the company? Thirty minutes will tell the tale!
Main Event
(Ladder Match / UKWF North Sea Championship)
Kincaid v Cross Recoba v Valkyrie v Constance Chapin
(Ladder Match / UKWF North Sea Championship)
Kincaid v Cross Recoba v Valkyrie v Constance Chapin
Time Limit: N/A
The Broadcast Championship is not the only new singles title to see a Champion crowned at New Year's Evolution; on the contrary, the Main Event of the show will see five of the most technically gifted and well-respected stars in the modern-day independent scene vie for the honour of being the first holder for the other newly-created belt, the North Sea Championship! The names in this match speak for themselves: former GPW World Champion and two-time VoW Xcel Champion Constance Chapin, reigning FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion Salem Cartier, former Pitt World Champion and GPW West Coast Champion Valkyrie, former PAW World Champion Cross Recoba, and journeyman veteran Kincaid should help make this match a hard-to-call, technically sound masterpiece. Yet technique and accolades matter little when the only way to obtain the belt is to retrieve it from the top of a ladder, so luck and opportunism will also definitely play a part in the proceedings. Could cunning New Management associate Recoba use that aspect in his favour? Or will risk-taker Kincaid see his boldness pay off? Can Salem Cartier magic her way to the top? Or will Valkyrie be the one to power her way there? Most importantly, can Constance Chapin even be bothered? Find out on January 17, as an inaugural North Sea Champion is crowned on Main Event!
