Before the match starts, viewers are treated to an extended recap of both wrestlers' careers in the UKWF, up to the present moment. Skylynn is seen winning, then defending the UKWF Championship, while Blaise is shown defeating the odds time and again before ultimately beating Juliet Black to earn herself a Number One Contendership. From there, the package moves to the repeat clashes between the two women, from Blaise attacking Alexander Underwood to Skylynn running her down, then attacking her after her match with Artemis Kaiser, and finally beating her down again after the tag match two weeks later. All in all, the stage is perfectly set, and the stakes perfectly outlined, for the match at hand. A moment later, the camera cuts to ringside, to accompany just that!
UKWF Championship: Skylynn Reed (c) v Blaise Fader
Neither competitor wastes any time lunging at their opponent the moment the bell rings, and right away the contest looks more like a brawl than a match. Skylynn and Blaise trade punches, the former compensating for her smaller girth with the speed of her flurry, while the second uses her weight advantage to withstand the barrage and deliver a few counter punches of her own. Neither has a lot of regard for technique, as the brawl is clearly more about personal hatred than any sense of competition.
In this manner, the two competitors go all around the ring for several seconds, the referee knowing better than to make any attempt at separating them. The contest remains incredibly close for a solid thirty seconds or more, before Skylynn decides to make her own advantage and pokes Blaise in the eye!
The referee, having his vision blocked by the number one contender's body, does not see this, and Skylynn is therefore able to get away with it, and send Blaise reeling back, clutching at her face. The Champion, on the other hand, wastes no time, and promptly connects with a Pele kick to Blaise's head, taking her down for the first time.
As the Number One Contender goes down, Skylynn takes the time to stand over her and rant in her face, gloating about being the Champion and her, Blaise, being no more than a scrub. She punctuates this with a stomp to Blaise's head, before moving over to slap five with Leoni Frei.
As she turns back away from her bodyguard, Skylynn spots Blaise getting to one knee, and does not hesitate – she promptly takes off across the mat, landing a brutal running boot to Blaise's head which takes her down once again! Skylynn covers!
ONE!
Blaise grabs for the ropes!
Skylynn, however, has made her point; she intends to dominate this match, by hook or by crook. As she rolls through off the pin, she makes a show of attempting to bring Blaise to her feet, but her opponent being too heavy, before once again leaning in to slap five with Leoni. The boos of the crowd intensify as the mockery sinks in, but Blaise seems totally oblivious to it, instead focusing on returning to her feet.
She just about manages to do so before Skylynn is back on attack. This time, the Champion hits a single leg dropkick to Blaise's stomach, doubling her over. Seeing her chance, Skylynn wastes no time climbing on the top rope and delivering a double-foot stomp to the back of Blaise's head. The Koopa Kick connects, as Skylynn goes to the well even early in the match! Blaise goes down face first onto the mat, and the Champion rolls her over for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THR---Blaise's foot shoots to the ropes!!
Seeing what is occurring, Leoni steps forward and attempts to remove the contender's foot from the ropes, but too late – the referee has already interrupted the count, and the Swiss gets an admonishment for her troubles. Leoni protests this, but the referee is not backing down, and the Swiss therefore has no choice but to back away, still ranting and flipping two middle fingers to the official. He, however, manages to ignore her, and instead turns back to the action.
Leoni's distraction was not all bad, however, as Skylynn has managed to rake Blaise's back without the referee seeing. As such, when the official turns around, he finds the Number One Contender in the throes of a back-mounted triangle choke from Skylynn, and struggling to break loose.
Unsurprisingly, and considering the Number One Contender's size advantage, Blaise is eventuially able to rolls over onto her side. Skylynn tightens the hold, however, and the Number One Contender is once again forced to struggle, alternately attempting to break loose and reaching desperately for the ropes. The camera catches Blaise's pained grimace as she makes yet another unsuccessful attempt to reach the ropes, before being brought back down by her opponent.
Long moments elapse in which the Number One Contender continues to attempt to use her girth to turn the hold around in her favour. Most of her attempts are only halfway successful, if that, but still Blaise keeps on trying – now spurned on by the crowd's chant of 'YOU CAN MAKE IT!'
This seems to be what eventually spurns the fan-favourite on, as Blaise suddenly gives one mighty heave and is able to roll over onto her stomach, breaking Skylynn's hold in the process. Having done so, she immediately begins to crawl on all fours across the mat, drawing in big lungfuls of air as she seeks the safety of the ropes.
Skylynn, however, is still on the prowl, and quick to get to her feet after the triangle choke. She is unable to prevent Blaise from scurrying to the ropes, but appears to have no problem biding her time, slowly stalking her opponent as she waits for her to step away from the ropes...
...only to hit a chopblock to Blaise's knee once she does! The Number One Contender falls to one knee, with a cry, and Skylynn moves quickly, attempting to lock in a Dragon Sleeper!
This time, however, Blaise is alert, and shoots an elbow up into the Champion's face! Skylynn reels ever so slightly, and Blaise hits another! Skylynn reels again, and this gives Blaise enough space to break free and lunge forward into the ropes again!
Knowing the respite she bought herself was momentary at best, the Number One Contender is, however, quick to get to her feet – and not a moment too soon, either, as she manages to just about avoid another running boot from Sky, instead managing to throw her over the ropes to the outside with a back body drop!
With Skylynn momentarily down on the outside, Blaise finally has an opening in which to put some distance between herself and her challenger. Knowing better than to venture to the outside, where Underwoods and Freis await to hunt their natural prey, Blaise instead makes for the opposite end of the ring, where she bends over and places her hands on her knees, thankfully catching her breath.
By the time the Champion returns to the ring, however, Blaise is more than ready to meet her – as she proves when she takes off running and lands a kick to the side of Skylynn's head! Taken by surprise, the Champ goes down, and Blaise promptly motions as if to lift her up...
...only for Leoni Frei to quickly pull her out again!
The fans boo as Blaise's upper hand is taken away again, but Leoni does not particularly seem to mind. She seems to be goading Blaise to the outside, but it is clear the Coventrian is not falling for it, as she stays put in the centre of the ring, ignoring Leoni and telling Skylynn directly to 'get back in here.' The referee similarly does not seem best pleased, as he did spot Leoni's interference, and gives her a stern admonishment.
The group surrounding the Champion, however, do not seem too bothered by the official's ravings, and step away for a moment to make sure Skylynn is all right and fighting fit. Leoni shoots a number of sideways glances at Blaise, still attempting to goad her into her trap, but it continues to not work. The Coventrian stays put in the centre of the ring, waiting for her opponent to come back in without budging so much as an inch.
Eventually, and seeing their tactic is not working, Skylynn and company have no choice but to face facts. With a few final words of encouragement – or perhaps tactics – Leoni lets go of Skylynn, who slowly, gingerly re-enters the ring. Blaise, however, shows no signs of reacting, retaining the exact same position, arms folded, legs splayed, as Skylynn rolls under the bottom rope, gets to her feet, and starts barrelling towards her...
...only to suddenly, and quite literally, leap into action, catching the Champion with a standing moonsault fallaway slam...or at least attempting to. For while the slam part of the move connects, Blaise herself is unable to pull off the acrobatics, and lands awkwardly on top of Skylynn! The crowd give a groan of frustration as both women appear to be down for the count, while the referee starts his count:
ONE!
TWO!
Skylynn is still out cold, but Blaise is seen stirring, rolling over onto her back in pain.
THREE!
FOUR!
Still in pain, Blaise nonetheless makes an effort to sit up, only for a pang of pain to take her down again.
FIVE!
SIX!
The contender changes tack, instead rolling onto her back and dragging herself towards the nearby ropes.
SEVEN!
Blaise pulls herself up with the help of the ropes. Skylynn, on the other hand, is still out cold, and a nervous Leoni Frei paces nearby, waiting for her to recover.
EIGHT!
Blaise pulls herself all the way to a vertical position, and prepares to turn her attention back to her opponent, who is finally beginning to stir...
...only for Alexander Underwood to tug at her leg, making her trip!
The referee sees this, and promptly comes over to admonish the manager, who nonetheless tries to feign innocence. The two have a long moment's altercation, all while Blaise attempts – and succeeds – to pull herself back to her feet at last.
The purpose of all this becomes clear when the referee stops his count to deal with Underwood, buying Skylynn several more seconds with which to recover. In this, she is helped by Leoni Frei, who sneaks into the ring and begins trying to speed up her client and friend's recovery process.
Blaise sees this, however, and promptly alerts the referee, who turns around and catches Leoni red-handed! The Swiss once again begins to protest, but the referee has has enough – he signals for Underwood and Frei to make their way to the back, effectively expelling them from ringside!
The crowd cheer as the referee's decision becomes clear, while Alexander and Leoni can hardly believe what has just transpired. Both engage the referee verbally, quite vehemently, but the official is unrelenting, threatening to escalate the case if the duo do not leave ringside. Leoni glowers at the official dangerously, but a few words from Underwood seem to sway her, and she follows Skylynn's manager to the back, stomping her feet and throwing middle fingers every step of the way.
Meanwhile, at ringside, the noise has not yet died down, as the fans continue to express their delight for the fact that the odds have just been evened. Blaise herself seems relieved to have the space to work on Skylynn at leisure without having to watch her back, and promptly seeks to capitalise, leaning in to bring Skylynn to her feet!
The crowd's cheer grows even louder as Blaise scoops the smaller wrestler up and positions her for her signature Argentine powerbomb, the Coventry Blitz...
...only for it to be reversed into a DDT!
The fans groan as Blaise's offence is once again cut short, and Skylynn once again finds a way out of a predicament. The Champion manages to ignore the negative reaction pouring down on her from the stands, however, as she crawls towards the corner and grabs onto the turnbuckle. She pulls herself to her feet and looks behind her, to check on Blaise. Seeing her opponent just rolling through to one knee, she wastes no time scurrying up the corner post, reaching the top just in time to dive onto the oncoming Blaise with her trademark delayed rotation moonsault, the Sky High...
...which Blaise dodges!!! The Champion hits the mat hard, and bounces back up...
...DIRECTLY INTO AN EXOCET BIG BOOT!
The crowd explode once again as Blaise comes back into the match with a shout, but devolve into an uncertain reaction as Blaise chooses not to cover, instead falling back onto the ropes to look down at the prone Skylynn.
For a long moment, as the Champion slowly regains consciousness, then her bearings, the Number One Contender's intentions are unclear; once Skylynn rolls to her feet again, however, Blaise's plan comes to light, as the Coventrian leaps forward to hit her opponent with ANOTHER EXOCET!!! Down goes Skylynn once again, and this time, Blaise does cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THR---NO!!! Last minute kickout by Skylynn!!!
The fans' cheers die in their throats, replaced with a groan of frustration as Sky gets her shoulder up at the last minute. Blaise, however, knows she is finally in it, and wastes no time lamenting her luck, instead attempting to lock her opponent into her seated stretch muffler, the Godiva Lock! Skylynn, however, thinks fast, and leaps forward, grabbing the ropes just in the nick of time to avoid the submission. The referee promptly tells Blaise to release the hold, which the challenger does without argument. Not wishing to lose her hard earned upper hand, however, the Coventrian stays close to Skylynn, waiting for her opponent to regain a vertical position and step away from the ropes to pull her down into a German suplex!
Skylynn goes flying over, but quickly rolls through to her feet...just in time to get hit with a running crossbody from Blaise! The crowd cheers as the challenger drops down into another cover!
ONE!
TWO!
...Skylynn grabs the ropes!
Blaise is now firmly in control, however, and a chant of the challenger's name spreads through the Indigo. This causes a small smile to break across her face as she once again brings Skylynn up, only to take her down with a backbreaker! Blaise keeps hold of her opponent, not letting her slip to the mat, and once again brings her to her feet, trapping her head between her legs to set up a powerbomb attempt. A moment later, she lifts Skylynn...
…who escapes by reversing the move into a hurricanrana!
The crowd groan in dismay as Blaise once again goes flying to the mat, whilst Sky legs it across the mat to the opposite turnbuckle. There, she waits for Blaise to return to her feet before taking off running and attempting a Bank Shot superkick...
...WHICH BLAISE DODGES, popping up behind Skylynn...
...WHO REVERSES AS WELL, grabbing the Number One Contender's head as she vaults backwards into the Skyline shiranui...
...WHICH GETS REVERSED INTO A SIDE SLAM BY BLAISE!!! The Indigo reaches fever pitch as the Number One Contender comes out on top of the exchange, and crawls on top of the Champion for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
TH—NO! NOT YET!!! SKYLYNN KICKS OUT!!!
Blaise cannot avoid a grimace as the Champion lifts her shoulder up yet again, but consoles herself with the idea that she still has the upper hand. She pulls herself to her feet, and once again bends down to pick up Skylynn...
...then halts herself midway...
...and looks towards the nearby turnbuckle.
The camera closes in on the Number One Contender's face just as a grin is seen broaching it. She looks all around her at the fever pitch crowd, and points at the corner post inquisitively. A room-wide roar of 'YES! YES! YES!' is all the persuasion she needs, and she promptly takes to the turnbuckle. Slowly, fully feeling the effects of a gruelling match, she begins to climb, almost slipping off as she places a foot on the first turnbuckle, but eventually making her way to the second....
….only to be pulled down into a rollup by Skylynn! The crowd groans as the referee drops down to count!
ONE!

THR-BLAISE REVERSES THE ROLLUP!

TH—NO!!! SKYLYNN KICKS OUT!!
The two women lie in the mat for a long moment after the unsuccessful rollup attempt from Blaise, clearly exhausted. The fans themselves seem in need of a breather, as they continue to lose their minds all around the ringside area. As for the referee, he simply does his job, starting the count.

…but instead find herself being scooped up onto her opponent's shoulders, as Blaise reacts quickly and shifts her position to reverse the move! The crowd finally blow their top as the Number One Contender spins her opponent out of her shoulders and connects with the Coventry Blitz powerbomb! Blaise holds on for a pin, the referee slides in, and the crowd prepare to explode...
