[The camera fades in on Liam and Cormac Donovan are sitting at a fancy desk, each of them dressed in a suit and tie with the L and C tie clips being the only way to tell them apart. They also have bruises on their foreheads due to the chair shots they received during the main event of the tournament.]
Liam: A day or so ago, the Aus-Am Connection made some accusations against us. They allege that we interfered in their match in the tournament finals, which they had not earned by the way, and thus cost them the titles.
Normally we'd pay no heed to such blatant falsehoods but since the fans seem to pay an inordinate amount of attention to those dunderheads we've chosen to address the matter.
[Cormac nods.]
Cormac: The truth of the matter is we'd only wanted to watch the finals of the tournament, we'd only walked down the aisle in order to ensure that we had a good vantage point. At no point did we attack anybody taking part in the match but you don't have to take my word for it. Let's take a look at the videotape shall we?
[The brothers swivel in their chair, revealing in the process that there is in fact a videoscreen behind them. As the lights dim, footage starts playing.]
Indeed, just as Valerie was taking off for her lethal move, the official's attention was attracted to ringside, where a trio has made their presence known; the Donavons are trying to interfere! The referee is therefore busy attempting to eject them, and does not see Valerie's pinfall attempt, which would potentially have won her the match!
A moment later, the situation gets even more complicated, as a warcry comes from somewhere nearby and a seemingly recovered Oscar the Grouch charges in, steel chair in hand. Cormac Donavon goes down! Liam Donavon goes down! Kiora Donavon goes down! The Grouch lets out a primal scream of enraged triumph as he tosses the crumpled chair aside, and slaps the hands of appreciative fans nearby. He then states 'I GOTTA GET BACK TO WORK', and makes his way towards the turnbuckle, as the referee turns his attention back towards the match.
[As the video footage stops playing, the brothers turn to face the camera once again.]
Cormac: As you can clearly see, Oscar abandoned his partner and ran down the aisle to attack us without any provocation what so ever. Love and Hate capitalized on this and won the match. In short Oscar has nobody to blame for his team losing the match but himself. Since he can't deal with that like a grown up he's blaming us.
Liam: It's not our fault your team hasn't the talent or the brains to be champions Oscar.
Cormac: You might even say, the trash took itself out.
[The brothers chuckle as we fade to black.]
