The sound of happy squeals can be heard throughout Hazel's midtown apartment as the scene slowly opens. Hazel is wearing a yellow tank top with black jean shorts. Her feet are bare as she is seen jumping up and down.
"Oh my God! Oh My God," she shouts as her best friend Ashley Fairchild comes barging into the living room carrying a book in her hands.
"What is going in here?" asks Ashley as she takes a second to glance around the room.
"Ashley guess what just happened," answers Hazel as she turns to see Ashley standing in the doorway of her bedroom. Ashley was breathing a little heavy after hearing the shrieking from Hazel. She slowly brings the book back down while blowing her hair out of her face.
"I don't know what happened, you just screamed out of nowhere and it made me jump. What's got you so hyped?" asks Ashley as she slowly starts to breath normally. Hazel's smile widens as she moves closer to her bestie.
"I'm in Ashley. The biggest stable in all of professional wrestling finally got back to me. I am so happy," says Hazel as she bounces back and forth. Ashley bit her tongue knowing that what she is about to say would ruin the perfect moment. Ever since she struck out on her own, Hazel has been a miserable wreck. Not being able to talk to Candy as often was really eating away at Hazel but the news that she was accepted into Dynasty was good enough to bring back her smile. Nothing could erase.
"That is great news Hazel and I am really excited for you. But..." Ashley speaks up as Hazel stops dead in her tracks. It was almost like an anvil had fell from the sky and crushed her happy fun time.
"But what Ashley? Why are you ruining a perfectly good moment?" asks Hazel while glaring at Ashley.
"Did you forget about your match against Blaise Fader for Blood and Iron?" answers Ashley with a question of her own. The joyous mood takes a wrong turn once Hazel heard her opponent's name.
"So Blaise is the one out to ruin my perfect week. She wants to stake her claim in this company. Well Blaise, you've gotten some good wins over the past few weeks but that streak ends. I'm not an idiot Blaise. I know you are coming into the match less than one hundred percent. That's good news for me but bad news for you. See, instead of taking time to heal those wounds. You are risking life and limb just to prove a point. A point will utterly kill you and I will be okay with that. This is my night to shine and you will not be the damper. If anything you will be in a HAZE all night long. I'll catch you at Blood and Iron," the words just flew off of Hazel's tongue like darts hitting a dartboard.

"Righ' then. Time for a fact check."
We open on yet another cell phone-recorded video, situated this time in a quaint, cramped park, a compact square of greenery and playground equipment flanked by gray-faced estate housing. The camera's closer to Blaise's profile this time, indicative of a selfie; her brother went back home to Coventry after Declared Defiance.
"Thought I'd enjoy a lil' romp through the park like the good ol' days, after my workout sesh. Sun's out, guns... well, too chilly for that righ' now, anyway, but you get it. Reminds me of when I was a kid, a lil' weirdie takin' bumps off the monkey bars an' swingset, like this one 'ere."
Mulch crunching under foot, Blaise took to the swingset, hand drifting to a chain.
"So, in the lead-up to our soon-to-be showstopper at Blood and Iron, lil' Miss Hazel Overton's done a lot of chinwaggin' 'bout me. A lot of talk about my record, my condition, whether or not I'm ready for this challenge, et cetera. Well, Hazel, let me stop ya righ' there... not that I can really, y'know, stop you... since your promo dropped 'fore, uhh, mine..."
Blaise looks down at her feet, then away, for longer than she'd like to admit.
"... so, righ', let's go through this one at a time, shall we? You thought you could talk a good game, make yerself look strong, ye? Thought you could beat my streak? Well, jokes on you, Hazel! 'cos I, uhh... well, I don't 'ave a streak. Not yet, anyway! Nothin' wrong with a one-an-one record! So then, then you says that I'm "comin' into this match at less than one hundred percent". What's that even mean? Like, no doubt, I took a helluva beatin' at Declared Defiance - a four-way match'll do tha' - but if you rewind that tape, it ain't no secret who won. S'not like JFK or whoever, it's not back and to the left; it's me, gettin' the one-two-three in the middle of that ring, fair'n square! And ye, all three of those fighters were 'ard as all hell, but look at me: sound of body an' mind, quick an' nimble, see?"
With a jump, Blaise grabs the top bar of the swingset with one arm, hoisting herself for a pull-up... except she's a lot more sore than she thinks, between her last match and her workout, and holding a phone to her face isn't helping matters. With just enough of a struggle to look embarrassing, Blaise knocks down a couple clean reps before dropping back down to her feet. She rotates her shoulder, obviously aching.
"... I can jus' edit that out..."
"... okay, if I'm honest, I might not be at my best. And you might be determined to knock me down a peg. But, Hazel, there's one thing you should know: even a fraction of my best is more than enough to go face-to-face with you at Blood and Iron. I'll see you then!"

It's been a few days since Hazel got the news about joining Dynasty. She was sitting inside her private gym getting a workout as her friend is standing off to the side.
"Did you happen to hear what Blaise finally said?" asks Ashley as she is scrolling down on her iPad. Hazel finishes a set of 10 on the leg press before pointing her finger at Ashley.
"What have I told you Ash? No one is going to ruin my perfect week," starts Hazel as she gets up from the leg press machine. "I don't care what Blaise has to say because it's all hogwash. She is obviously forgetting about the wicked chair shots she took after the victory. It's obvious she is trying to play the super woman card. Thinking she can't be hurt. I guess that what all British people think these days. They think nothing bothers them. Well I can already tell that I got under your skin Blaise," she continues while moving around towards another piece of equipment.
Ashley moves from her position and stands in the mirror. She studies her reflection before turning her attention back towards her friend. "How do you plan to combat her power? She does have a ton of poundage on you," says a worried Ashley.
"For a friend, you do worry an awful lot. I am not worried about the weight difference between Blaise and myself. Just because she is bigger doesn't mean she is better. Having that much mass to deal with on a daily basis, it will cause major problems against someone like me. Yes, she can pluck me out of the sky but can she catch me. Can she stop me? That is the question and I highly doubt it. Stubbie Harris was a bigger opponent and I handled him with ease. I know Blaise is going to be a different story but the ending will be the same. It's like they say, the bigger they are the harder they will fall. Blaise, I have it on good authority that you will be seeing double at Blood and Iron. That's because you will be left in a HAZE," Hazel finally finishes as she takes a seat on the bench. Ashley takes a deep breath as the scene fades on Hazel lying down and starting a set.
